Keep Notes Section In Calendar Event
When making a calendar event in the current Outlook.com there is a section to add notes. This is missing in the Beta Calendar. Notes are visible in the Beta from entries made in the current Outlook.com Calendar but you are unable to edit them. I use the notes section to remind me of details about calendar events. The loss of this option would force me to use a different Calendar app/service.

Glad I found a string on this. I have to turn Beta off when I use the calendar so I can add notes and edit notes. Why have a calendar if you cannot add notes??? So frustrating.

How can I add Notes to calendar items in the new look-and-feel. Right now there is no way of doing this.

It is very difficult to move fast the agenda, besides I can not find de memo or notes area in the agenda in orden to put more info.

The Outlook.com beta version does not allow a user to add notes or additional information to a meeting/appointment. I have to access my calendar through the desktop software to add meeting notes.

I cannot edit a new calendar invite with the Beta version. When adding an event by clicking on the calendar time slot it does not allow me to add an attendee email address or edit the description of the event. I will have to turn off Beta version in order to edit my calendar invite.

The Beta used to allow me to add, edit, and display formatted notes within a Calendar Event.
Sometime over the last week or so, that stopped working. So, I've had to turn off the Beta.
Please restore the ability to add, edit, and display formatted notes within a Calendar Event. I have been depending on this feature of the browser Hotmail / Outlook support for a long time.

Great that outlook add my flight details to my calendar without me having to do anything about it.... BUT can I chose on what calendar it goes? And add comments/notes?

This is a place to put useful and important information about events that doesn't belong in the title or location fields. Without it, the calendar becomes almost unusable.

Another issue is I can't mark an event as Available, Busy, Tentative, or Away. I like the new look, but being able to edit additional details is a must.

I agree, this is horrible that you have changed the interface for Calendar Item Details. Bring the old version back so we can add more details.

Totally agree, the calendar in beta has become pretty much useless to me if I can't update the 'to do' list for each day. I do like that it opens in a new window, and the layout is cleaner, but all of that is pointless if I can't update the details of each event/ day that I have scheduled time in

I actually do like the new beta. I think it looks good and very neat.
My problem is that I don't seem to be able to add/change details to calendar events in Outlook.com beta? So as I see it, Outlook.com beta lets me choose an event title, icon, date and so forth, but I can't find the field where one adds details (text) to the respective event.Obviously this feature is available in the Outlook desktop version and was also available in the previous Outlook.com version. I think it would be hard to understand why this feature should not be available in the new Outlook.com. Honestly, not being able to add details to an event would make Outlook.com unusable for me..

The calendar beta version is missing the ability to add a description / notes to an event.
I had to revert to the normal version to add a description.
