The existing version can add or edit the detail of the event.

When using the calendar web application, it would be great if there was an option in the pop-up version of a new appointment to add additional information about the appointment. When I need to do this, I had to switch back to classic in order to complete the task.

How can I add background details to an event? There doesn't seem to be any way, which if true, is a serious limitation. I added some in the app, which shows up on the web version. But the App version doesn't allow group contact listings (i.e. a listing of a group of people). So each version seems to have a major flaw.

I'm unable to edit Details section of a calendar invite - when I click Edit, Details section is not displayed at all.

I used to be able to add information to a calendar item or to edit the added information about the event. Now I can only delete the entire event or "save" what I've already saved. Why did you change it? Change it back to what it used to be.

The "description" field is really indispensable! In this Beta version, the only way to add note on an event is to set it inside the event title field, which is absolutely not convenient.

Adding details to calendar entry??? I no longer have the ability to add details to a calendar entry on Outlook.com. I can only add a title and location. I need to be able to add phone numbers, direction, dialing instructions.

bug: In the non-beta of calendar, I can edit the details of an event. In the beta, I cannot figure out how to do that. I can view details but not edit them.

Calendar is totally broken (I'm on Chrome).
1) Can't add details to an event.
2) Pasting into the location bar erases everything you've already written there. -

I cannot seem to add details to calendar events! I would also like to move events from one calendar to the other or merge if I'd like to. Also, when viewing a certain event in big or larger screen, I should be able to edit the details from there too, instead of just being able to edit them from a small window (I should be able to do that in both the small and big windows).

I can't find how to add details to a calendar event in the beta version. Switching back because I always put ticket information or reminders or things to bring to meetings in the details/more info section of my events.
