Make it less cluttered
I didnt like it. I don't like how much more difficult this is getting to navigate and cluttered it is. I miss hotmail. Simple. Effective. You can see the emails, organize them, get to them. Same with your contacts thats ALL that an email service is supposed to do, all that we need it to do.

First off, I just want to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time and providing feedback on the new Outlook.com experience. I totally appreciate that updates can often be frustrating when things change. I also want to thank everyone that has provided feedback over the course of the Beta to ensure that we address feedback.
With that being said, I do want to offer some types/advice on some options that you can select to get a view that is more in line with the old experience. This includes turning off the Colored bubbles :)
First click on the Gear in the top right hand corner. This will load the Quick Settings Pane. This pane includes all of the key features that are likely different between the old experience and the new experience.
To get a view that is similar to the old view I would turn off the following: Conversation View, Reading Pane (set to Hide), Sender Image (these are the colored initial circles), Group by Date (these are the date headers in the message list), and finally Attachment Preview.
Once these are off, the view should look VERY similar to the old experience.
Again please keep the feedback coming, the entire team is reviewing every submission and we are working on bringing additional improvements.
Some of these include, Density settings (this will help those that want a more compact view), updated spam/junk settings, Chat improvements, and much much more.
Thanks again for using Outlook.com!

Microsoft STOP changing things that actually work. I want Outlook.com CLASSIC back. Also, KEEP Windows Phones - get RID of *************************.

I agree. Terrible. And now there is no option to use any sort of "classic" mode. I think this is more about job security for all those involved who modify and design, rather than about simply maintaining a system that works (or worked, rather). Seriously too many cooks on this latest version. Nightmarish.

I particularly dislike the "chaining" of conversations. It is difficult to know what message you are responding to. One message at a time, please.

Agree! It is very hard to navigate. The coloring is distracting.

Exactly my thoughts. Why ruin something good? Just because it is simple, clear and easy to use? Do you have to avoid these features in modern software engineering? MS guys and girls did the same with Win 10 which is a ruined version of Windows 7. As far I am concerned, that is. Sorry, for being off-topic.

The new look with the icons is annoying and cluttered. I also don't like that I am no longer able to attach documents normally and am forced to use OneDrive.

Totally displeased with new look of Outlook on computer ... too clutter, too many panes and the far left cannot be removed, not to talk about too large a pane for ad. The more Outlook tries to change, the more distasteful and unprofessional they become!!!

New email setup appalling. Cluttered, difficult to navigate, emails open in narrow format. What was wrong with the last setup? Simple - can see all emails at a glance. WHY the change? If it ain't broke don't fix it! How can I change back?

very much prefer the previous simple layout.
Please give back option to switch to previous layout for those who want it.

The new look of Outlook from MSN looks TERRIBLE. It looks like it was designed for myopic toddlers. I do not enjoy using my e-mail when I'm afraid to click in the wrong place and open or delete junk e-mails or something important by accident.
It feels cluttered, frantic, and is extremely unsatisfying to use.
I'm here for e-mail, family, and business, not post-modern art appreciation.
