block spam by name of sender
I am spammed repeatedly because the ip address changes several times a day. Blocking the ip address is ineffective. I need to be able to block mail by country of origin or the name of the sender.
There are spammers which use the same sender NAME but constantly change the email address and domain, so they never get blocked. The only solution for this case (which is really common nowadays) is to allow us to block the sender's NAME, as this NAME is the only part which remains the same.
An example, there is a spammer with the sender NAME 'Bitcoin Code'. I get several messages from this sender NAME, but the email address and domain in each message change, e.g., email@example.com; 561sbmHð«@ihindia.com; etc. Again, you need to create a feature which allows us to block emails by the sender NAME (and not only by specific email addresses or domains).
Thank you very much.

I wish there was a feature implemented that allowed us to somehow block email based on sender name and not a specific email address. Throughout the past several years, I have yet to see Microsoft address this issue. My web-based outlook email account continues to get some spam trickle into the inbox despite meticulous efforts to keep it all out. I am starting to think that it is a conspiracy that this feature hasn't been implemented or that I haven't seen Microsoft address this issue because it seems so clear-cut to program the ability for us to create a rule to process junk email based on this criteria! I received countless spam in my inbox over the years (e.g. the "LinkedIn" ones a while ago, even email with emoji in the address, and I still get the Apple and Apple ID ones regularly today). It's irksome! Please address this!!
I already block junk mail via the email address. What I am hoping you all develop (it did exist in the past) is a way to block via name keyword. For example, the name "renewal by Andersen" or "Viagra" or names with those keywords continue to send me junk email. I can block those messages/email addresses, but then they just use a new email address (but same/similar sender name) over and over again. So if I could block via keywords in the sender name (NOT the email address), that would solve my problem and prevent 75 junk emails (with only a dozen or so different keywords) a day from flooding my account. Thanks

Improve spam blocking filters to include senders name, or the domain name from the message source. Often, I receive spam from "Best Home Warranty" or "FightTinnitusNow". Their email address is not displayed, and I am not able to block this sender's name. I have to go into the message source and extract the domain name from which the message was sent.
agree, spam totally out of control

I've get spam from multiple email addresses, but just a few names (not subject lines):
Diabetes News, as well as others
How do I block these? Blocking email addresses does nothing. The spammers just use different email addresses.

I keep getting phising/spam mails from the same place, they all have the same name, but have various random mailadresses. How do I block mails by the name of the sender? or just part of the name? that would be awesome if I could do that.
I get so much spam from fake email addresses in america, that it makes no different unsubscribing, blocking or reporting, is there a way to block on subjects/from name? For example Vivint, is who the name comes from, but it's not their email address! If I could just block on the name, it would be great, as my Spam would drop dramatically.
There is no way to block businesses that rely on sending mail with continually revolving random words as part of their email address.
We need a fix-it that blocks based on the name of the sender and not just the address.

I want to be able to block sender not email. Too many just send you junk mail under a different address. Being able to block the name of sender would be a better choice.
Please provide the ability to block by sender's name, e.g I get fake receipts from "Apple Support" on a daily basis. The spammer's e-mail address is immaterial as it is fake and varies. I do not use Apple Products. I am happy to have every single e-mail blocked that comes from a sender calling themselves "Apple Support". Other spammed users can insert the sender's name of their choice.

I want to blocks omeone by name rather than email address as someone sends messages from a friend but it is not them. I get hundreds of messages so want to block the name from coming up.
Where did my BLOCK feature go? LinkedIn spam is bad

The ability to block email senders has been removed from tool bar. Where did it go? It was great where it was and should be restored.
Your blocking of junk mail in account does not work. LINKEDIN tons of spam not even signed up to them but still get them and cant block as all from different email addresses. Driving me nuts. Never got any before this dreadful redesign. Please make them stop or allow me to block anything from Linkedin.
I get spam from LinkedIn but it's not likely from the real linkedIn and it has a virus in it if you click unsubscribe.
My junk folder gets several emails a day from LinkedIn... I opened one and my PC immediately went into crisis mode which I escaped by shutting down for a while and restarting. I have blocked LinkIn with various sourced addresses repeatedly but it continues to appear with an altered return address. Why can't Outlook banish it and its variations from my--and likely other--accounts? Please HELP...
where is block sender.

I keep recieving spam mail pretending to be notifications from "LinkedIn", I cannot block these emails, every one is a different address, I have tried making lots of different rules to block these types of spam messages but everything I try does not work, I still recieve spam email for viagra and Cialis.... Why is Hotmail so terrible at blocking spam? it's like I am getting so many spam messages every single day and I just cannot block them it's getting rediculous.

Block emails by 'display name'... please! Getting so many emails from display name 'LinkedIn' but all with different real email names. I can find no way to set up a rule to delete by display name so continue getting daily spam that I can't auto delete. Why can't 'display name' be added to the rules options to let us stop this really irritating practice. There can be no benefit to Outlook allowing this to continue. Please fix it. :-(
