Preview Pane - Options to disable, resize and move locations
I am very fond of my privacy and am not happy about the fact that everything shows a preview. (even with the 'Hide reading pane' option selected) Please implement the option te let us choose wether or not we want our e-mails to be previewed!
e.g.: The first e-mail in my private inbox folder is an e-mail with pictures of a new bra my wife bought, of wich she is very proud.
When I then am sitting next to my coworker and open Outlook to show him the pictures of my fishing trip last weekend, my wife's new bra is not the catch I was hoping to show off to my coworker.
Thanks you very much for using outlook.com and for taking the time to provide all of the great feedback. I wanted to take a moment to let you know that there are now some additional options that should address the feedback in this posting.
1) You are now able to disable or enable the Reading Pane. This can be done right from the Quick Settings Menu. Just click the Gear in the top right
2) You are also able to change the location of the reading Pane. Instead of Just to the right you can also select on the bottom. Again this is found under the Gear menu in the top right.
3) Also, some folks have asked to make sure that no message is selected by default when you sign-in to Outlook.com. This setting is also an option.
To select that follow these steps:
Click the Gear in the Top Right
Scroll to the bottom of the Quick Settings Pane and select View all Outlook Settings
This should open the Full Settings and have Selected Mail and Layout. On the Layout portion scroll down to the Reading Pane section. There is an option called What do you want us to do when you sign in? Here you can select two options.
Hope this helps!

The viewing pane on the right does not show the whole email and I am unable to open the email in a new window. I think that the idea for a preview is great but do include the whole email and also provide the option for the reader to open a new window for the said email like a pop up. Thanks.
keep it simpel
It's ridiculous the new preview of the messages, my eyes get lost among so many vertical panels and I prefer a different page for reading and writing my messages like in the old version.

Can't open an email to read the entire page. I like the preview mode but it is not intuitive how to open an email. New features should be easier to use, not more difficult.
I have selected "disable link preview in composed mail" (I actually want to disable link preview in ALL mail and am not sure if there is a distinction or the option to do that) but the preview is still showing. This is not working.
The preview pane does not show the full width of an email, on devices like laptops, and I cannot click on the email to expand it. As a result I cannot read my emails without scrolling left and right as I read each line. Fail
Two potential solutions:
1. show the preview pane below and not beside (or allow users to move it and then remember their preference)
2. allow me to click the email, in the list, and see all of the email (instead of the list and half a preview; the lefthand side)
Best of all, go back to the GUI of a few years ago (before the last big change).
I'd prefer to to see the full description of the email before opening it on that side panel. It's something I like on the current version. It's too tiny, as if I'm on a mobile app and my screen is huge.

provide options to hide attachment preview and reduce the vertical height per email in inbox, so you can see a larger number of emails. Or give options for that. Right now, I can only see like 10 emails. Maybe experiment with hover over effects that increase the size/give a preview, so that the normal inbox can show as many email lines as possible. Basically, give more control over the layout to the user, just hide the extra options in an advanced menu for those who want it and it wont bother basic users.

I like having the three sections - one for folders, one for emails and a preview pane but each section is too small to be functional, except for the folders column. The folders column could be thinner to allow more space in the preview panel. The ads are also so wide that I have to scroll across my emails to be able to read the content.

The screen looks too much heavy to the view
In 'Settings' you allow me to either show an email preview to the right of my list of emials or not at all. My preference is to ave the emails above and the previews below. Your Desktop application allows this. I'd prefer it to be so on the cloud app. Also, slooooooooooooow!
Whats the point in having a preview panel - at the side - when you cant see the email in it any way as the panel is so narrow. silly idea.
Hi, I really don't like the preview of the emails in the main page, If I want to view what is in any mail I just open it, that is very not necessary. Thanks

cannot read the full page, have to move the bar (left to right), trouble ~ but i like the view of new mail with attachment icon, easy to detect the document which i need before preview
It makes it difficult to see the list of emails because half the screen is taken up with the preview of the message.
You can totally get used to it, but if it wont allow me to full screen checking my unviewed emails and see on preview its pictures as in the beta, I would choose the non-beta version.
When I have a preview of my unread messenge on the right, it is not clear who can I have a full screan.

make that just by click the mesage you see the full mesagge not like a preview
I don't like the preview of the message. The list now is also too big
You shouldn't have to show the attachments, they made confuse. There are also too many colors
