I would like the ability to select & delete multiple emails without reading them
Provide a check box for each email, as before.

December 2017: A checkbox has always been available in the message list for you to select multiple items with. Moving your mouse cursor over the colored circles that have sender pictures (on the left side in the message list), you will find an unfilled checkbox for you to check. You can perform multi-select actions this way, before deleting.

You took away the boxes to check to be able to move/delete multiple messages at one time. I don't like auto-read (or having to find how to turn the pane off, if it exists). You've already messed up Outlook on mobile devices. Don't do it to computers, too.

It's actually still there and works the same, it just has a "skin". I agree that the box is too small, but it has always been too small. Bigger is better here MS!

The current version is easier to navigate, the less the better. In the Beta version it could be really hard for people with eye or movement issues to select multiple messages because the round box becomes really small and it's hard to click it, it requires a lot of precision.

Actually, now I realize my first comment was talking about the App and not Outlook.com, so I have to take back my original comment.
You can more easily discover the checkbox in the old version.

In the old version it took two steps to accomplish this, first click the selection button, then start checking boxes.
This version allows you to start checking off messages right away which I like better.
I do agree it may take a while to discover the check box is hidden under the sender icon, but once you learn that your fine.

I would like the selection box to be always visible

I like being able to delete multiple emails at one time without having to open them. For example I may not need to open the grocery store, fast food and junk email all the time. Most time I read the subject line. If I'm not interested I delete them at once.

When you try to click multiple emails to delete or move at once, its really hard to select multiple emails at one time. Its like it doesn't register the click. Never had this problem with the old version.

Please separate the check boxes and sender images (colored circles) and give us the option to turn off the sender images. While some people love them and find them useful, many others don't and they take up way too much vertical space.

Keep the box on the left to delete multiple emails

The check boxes really need to be bigger and more visible!!

the check boxes should be visible without moving over their location. Because I get so much junk mail, I like to be able to view, check, and delete it quickly. Overall, I find that dividers between emails are not clear, box outlines are faded.

This was a very useful feature in the old version: select one message and then shift-arrow-down would allow to select multiple messages. This doesn't seem to work in the new version, or maybe I've been doing it wrong ...

In the old method, I LOVED that I could select several emails at once to eliminate from my "Incoming" so I didn't have to delete individual, individual, individual, etc. . . . . . I really want to be able to sort by sender & select which I want to delete (some - NOT ALL - as in 'unsubscribe')

exactly, icon is not a good idea, it is unnecessary and not understandable , What happens if you see a small icon there ? nothing useful ! just causing a mess

Checkboxes should not be shared with the sender's icon. Sender icon is a helpful visual reference and having them disappear when you start selecting multiple email messages is undesirable.

when selecting the check all button to highlight emails, unable to click only the email i want to uncheck as to not delete certain emails. when all is selected and click on the email i do not want to delete everything becomes unchecked and email opens. it would be better to just unselect one email and not open it until wanting to view it
