not junk
When I check the junk folder and I find something there is not junk, I click on the 'Not junk' button but instead of moving the email to my inbox straight away, I have to select the 'Not junk' option from the pull-down menu. It should be a 1-step process, not a 2-step process.

Let us decide what’s junk and what isn’t. One mans trash is another’s ticket outta this god forsaken place!

If this isn't corrected, I will stop using Outlook. I'm missing important emails.

Also, when selecting a message as "Not junk", could these addresses get automatically added to the Safe Senders list so their future messages don't continue to be marked as junk?

"Not junk" is not a good name for this menu option. It should say something like "Junk mail options" as "Block" and "Phishing" don't fit under the umbrella "Not junk"

I've had my email subscription moved to the junk folder even though I've marked as not junk and also whitelisted by domain. Microsoft is bad at email management -- I've had the opposite problem with another that I marked as spam, unsubscribed (never actually subscribed), and blocked with little success.
No wonder Gmail is so popular. -

perfectly legitimate messages from people in my contact list sent to junk. The junk filter is dangerous, since important messages can be lost. Microsoft should scrap it.

ALSO - Need Option to keep the message open instead of having to go track it down wherever it finds itself. (Browsers)

Doesn't making choosing to make an email "Not Junk" a two-step process instead of a one-step process go against making Outlook more user-friendly and more time-consuming?

I completely agree, the new way is adding clicks. This should be like the Reply button. Reply can be clicked on its own and the drop down arrow opens more options.

You guys have added an additional step to taking legitimate email out of the junk folder. Before it was select the email(s) and hit the 'Not Junk' button. Now, we have to do that AND choose a sub-catergory of 'Not Junk, Phishing, or Block"

"Not junk" button: have to press twice to save a mail in Junk Email folders. So inconvenient

Not Junk. It's redundant to have to click on Not Junk and then click again on not junk. Seems like that would just be 1 click.

BLOCKED mail
Hotmail may be improving on a lot of unimportant stuff, but is still blocking mail that I have listed as 'not spam' and is on the approved list for which i have created my own rule (away from sweep). -

While viewing the junk mail folder, manually marking something as incorrectly identified as junk requires user to click "not junk" and then decide between "not junk " or "phishing attempt". This is very annoying. 1st: a phishing message is junk. 2nd: I would never click phishing message as the layout has punished users for years now by forcing those who do mark messages as junk to click-to-close a very unhelpful "thank you for helping to identify phishing" pop up. Marking messages as not junk should require only 1 click.
