Do not auto open the next email when I mark an email is junk
If you have marked a mail as a junk mail, the next mail will be opened automatically. That disturbs. I would like to move them unopened as junk mail.
First off thank you for taking the time to provide all of this valuable feedback! I just wanted to update you on progress for some work.
We are happy to say that we have changed the way junk mail deletes work. Instead of opening the message automatically we return to the message list. This directly addresses the feedback that we have heard from all of you.
Hope this helps!

In the Junk Email, I do NOT want to open the email when I check the circle to the left.
This works when I check the circle to the left of the Junk Email title at the top.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I am assuming that if I somehow open a email in the Junk Email folder the sender gets a notification that I received and opened it.
This seems to open the floodgates for spam.

THAT IS NOT WHAT WE WANTED. HERE'S WHAT WE WANTED: Let us enable the disabled button to return to an empty screen when the message being viewed is deleted/archived/moved.
You keep putting emails from a certain sender into my junk folder. You do this despite months of me saying that those emails are NOT junk and then moving those emails to my inbox. Can you please fix this. Thanks.

Junk Email - when I delete an email from the junk email box it doesn't go to the next email item. It used to. Please reset this function.
On Junk Email, After deleting one message does not automatically open the next one like before. This can be selected on option, but only works for the Inbox. Need that feature to easily look and delete the junk email received. This worked in classic, Or, allow Classic to be selected again.

I would like to block emails from unwanted sources without opening them, how do I do this?
There needs to be a way to select an email in the INBOX in order to categorize it as JUNK or PHISHING WITHOUT OPENING the email! If settings are set to automatically download pics then the pics are downloaded and the account has been tagged as an active account to the spammer by the individual just trying to tag the email as SPAM.
In settings, I only get the option to "open the next item" or "open the previous item". "Don't show any item" is grayed out/not an option.I don't want any to open.
Yes, but not only for junk mail. I want an option to never open ANY message when i delete one. I'll click any others I want to read.

I turned off my preview screen so I wouldnt have to see an email without opening it first.
I had not used it enough to think of this, but we don't want ANY emails opening automatically (at least the option) because of spam, etc.
I do not like how it opens the junk mail. I have to go through my junk mail because some is not junk at all and I can not delete them all at once but after I delete it opens the next one. Also I would like that if I said it was not junk that it would go to my inbox not the junk folder.
You can stop auto open. Go to settings > Scroll down to view full settings >Mail>layout>Inbox layout, scroll down to "What do you want us to do when you sign in" choose option "Let me select which message to read first" and there are other options that might help in the layout. Hope this helps.
Yes. This should pertain to all email. I want to choose which I email I open. Outlook should not auto open any email for me.

I agree - I don't wish to open anything that was moved to junk.

yeh I agree with most said before, what a dumb idea to auto open the next junk mail after you delete one...what are you thinking!
Please NEVER open the following email, sometimes I mean to skip it!
Please STOP automatically opening junk and phishing emails when i want to mark them as phishing etc.

I love how all messages (except from known recipients) go to the Junk Folder. I can quickly run down the list of junk, select the emails I want moved to trash, and move them to trash. Once done, I like that I can quickly go through the remaining email messages using auto open. I have already chucked the known "bad" messages, and all that remain are ones I want to investigate, but maybe not send to my inbox. Can you make the auto open an option to turn back on? I liked the way it worked before.
