Automatic Replies (OOO)
The ability to easily set an auto-reply or Out of Office message is very important, and the ease in which OWA has implemented it in the past was great. Very surprised Automatic Replies are not included in the Beta.

Auto reply keeps switching off. I am told by Support this is a design feature and the replies switch off when you sign out.
This is not how it worked before. I do not keep signed in to Outlook mail all the time, in fact Outlook.com seems to disconnect me on my PC if I have no activity for some time.
This is also non intuitive. If I put an unavailable message on my mail when I am going overseas and happen to get a chance for a quick peek at mail in an airport it now turns off my unavailable message.
I am unavailable when I decide I am unavailable not when Outlook decides I'm unavailable.

Auto-reply, which I've happily used for years, is now a nightmare: it keeps switching itself off, and I'm re-setting it every few hours. It's pot-luck whether a correspondent will get the auto-reply or not, and as I'm off sick, that's a big problem. I've had around 25 email-exchanges with Outlook Support, and 2 remote accesses: now, instead of doing something about it, they tell me to post on here. Not good enough.
Whilst I'm on, the left-hand side is over-fussy and means I have to scroll down to some of my folders; it's also infuriatingly inaccurate, as it shows numbers of emails remaining in inbox or junk-mail when they've been deleted. -

I don't find this on the android app. If it's there it's entirely too difficult to find and must be hidden. I did see an online blog that states how to do it but the instructions are clearly outdated. Who on earth makes these horrible design decisions?

Automatically Enable Out Of Office Replies Based Upon Calendar Appointments
Before leaving the office for a meeting, travel, etc. I often forget to turn on the out of office assistant to send an automated reply to new messages.
I'm looking for a way to have the out of office enabled automatically based upon the appointments in my calendar (automatically turn on/off with appointments' schedule).

For me is out of office response also a musthave.

I like the new format with one exception - what has happened to being able to set an out of office reply??? I keep having to go back to the old version in order to do this.

Out of office messages are too limited in scope: you can either reply to anyone in your contacts, or to everyone who e-mails me. We should have if/then filtering available to control OoO messages (or really any kind of e-mail processing) in a more nuanced way.

Agreed. This is a key function. Have to go back to the old version to set out of office replies. If you do this, however, you can set the start and finish time so you don't have to go. back to the old version to turn it off.
