Reply using correct "from" address when hitting reply, reply all, forward etc.
In the beta, when you reply to a message, it sends the message reply back to the recipient using the primary alias as the "from" address. The non-beta version 'remembers' which address the person sent the message to, and sets that as the "from" address in the reply. This behaviour is essential for ease of email management when multiple "from" addresses are available. Also, it should be a lot easier to always see whop you're sending an email "from" when you're replying/forwarding etc.
I can see that there is a setting for "always show from" in the beta settings but it doesn't work when replying or forwarding.
Yes. I enjoy the Beta version but I have multiple POP accounts that I send and receive From. When replying to emails almost every one is sent from a different POP account. The "FROM" drop down is essential. I have also noticed that when replying to a POP Account received email, it automatically replies with the from account set to the @outlook.com account and you are unable to change it.
This has just been a disaster for me, I needed to report something anonymously so created a temporary alias. I sent my mail and received one back. I then sent a reply but it replied from my proper address so now the recipient has my name and actual email address which I have to destroy and spend god knows how many hours altering my email address on every account I own and use in every aspect of my life. Really not impressed with this functionality..!!

I absolutely agree, go back to remembering the address that the message was sent To and use that as the reply From address.

Gone back to old version, this is a BIG problem for me as I run different emails.

I have had to switch back because Outlook reverts back to the autogenerated generic alphanumeric email address when I send from my alias and all replies bounce because the email address isn't recognised. It's caused chaos for the charity I'm trying to run.
everything is good in the current version. its one of the best interfaces across this business. however, one thing every developer misses is that most mails are forwarded, and, despite the heavy use of this feature, it is never offered as an independent button. you waste a significant amount of time pulling down the reply dropbox and selecting forward from there. its as if forwarding a mail is something forbidden.
Yes, this is my main problem with the beta too, and I've also had to switch back. When I'm replying to work emails the 'from' defaults to my personal hotmail address and a couple of times now (inevitably) I have sent them without remembering to change the alias, partly also because it hides the 'From' in replies, which I'm not happy about at all, it looks so hideously unprofessional! Replies should definitely be sent from the same address to which the original message was sent.
Even if you've selected 'Always show From' in the options it only shows it when composing new messages, not when replying or forwarding and it's an incredibly tedious set of steps to change the alias (Expand address section > ... > 'Show from' > 'From' >Select from dropdown)
Impossible to forward an email sent on another day to another recipient... First I received the error message that I was not allowed to do it (?!). Then I didn't get any error message anymore, it seemed that the mail was sent, but it does not appear in the sent items.
I did a test to forward the mail to my own email adres, but it doesn't work...
Enhancement to restore functionality the Beta has removed

Add email forwarding option in the beta settings
Had to go back to old version because of this problem
Selecting of "from address" is too difficult. Have to return back to old version.
I was unable to forward from my sent emails, it continually said it was waiting for inline attachments to finish before sending, but I didn't have any attachments in the email? I do not like the beta at all and have switched back already!!!
Difficult to work out which email address I was sending from ( I have a hotmail and outlook address ) I finally stumbled across how to display both.
Yes, this is definitely a problem that makes it necessary to check every time which alias is actually used.
This is definitely a problem. The Windows 10 app handles this much better, and as I recall the non-beta version of Outlook.com handled this fine as well. I just accidentally sent a reply from the wrong email, and my concern is that will confuse them or cause it to end up in their spam folder.

Yes, need replies to be from the proper alias!
This issue just caused a significant delay in a return I was working. Because I didn't reply to the company with the correct email address, the message was discarded. I fortunately realized the issue when I was double checking that I had sent a reply.
Currently, in order to switch the "From" to the appropriate alias, you have to:
Leave quick edit mode
Click on the "..." at the top of the message
Click the option that says "Show From"
Click on the "From" button (not the address text. Both should be clickable)
Select the appropriate alias.
All of these steps need to be followed every time a message is sent. This is not a good user experience!

It must have the option to use "Alias" as the previous version.
Yesterday I received an email to my alias address but I had to answer from the original one address and it makes the conversation confusing.
Please, give back the alias option when answering an email.
YEA IT'S TRUE, SAME HAPPENED WITH ME
I'm having the same issue. I run my personal emails and business emails (via an alias) from one account and have had serious issues sending from the correct address in Beta.
