Please allow us to get rid of this 'Conversation History' folder. I have no use for it and it just takes up space.
Allow us to remove the 'Conversation History' folder. I have no use for this and never will. Please allow us to delete it.
Thanks for your patience. We’re putting Hiding the “Conversation History” folder (and other empty, unused folders) under consideration, for possible Outlook.com improvements.
OMG, going through this folder and I have dozens and dozens of emails I have missed!!!
I would like to know why I have random emails arriving in my 'Conversation History' folder. I have had people saying they have emailed me but I haven't received anything. I just didn't notice this folder to look in there, until this evening. I have just found lots of emails I needed in this folder. Why, oh why are they going in there and how can I change the settings so that they come into my inbox, like all my other emails?
When looking at my Mail folder options, I've noticed that some options I've never used while others don't make sense.
- Conversation History
Don't make sense/don't know how to use:
I'd like greater control over which folder options I see.
I would prefer you allow us to delete it and not just hide it. If you only add the ability to hide it and not delete it, please make sure it is also hidden in email clients like Outlook 2019 and Mail for Windows 10.
+1 removing this. It's super annoying. Thanks!
+1 to being able to remove this, very frustrating.

I agree. Please allow us to delete the Conversation History if we want to.
Every time I see the "conversation" folder it ticks me off! I almost never used "messenger" before it was merged to Skype. And wasn't a big Skype user. Now that they are merged, I never use them. Any folder I can't remove when unused, ****** me off!

Please add this feature.
Has there been any progress on this? Completely agree with the user above; I don't use Conversation History, Notes or Archive, it would be great if I could hide them so the folders I do use are more visible. Or at the very least be able to order folders in any order - no matter what I do/how I rename things, Conversation History and notes appear above other (used) folders in the web version of Outlook.
add option for customise left menu and hide this
What's with the ugly cluttering "Notes" and "Conversation History" folders? Give us a way of removing them. They are USELESS and do nothing but clutter the UI.

Yes to this, especially now that "Notes" is showing between the folders I've created instead of grouped with the other useless 'system folders'. Let me remove it, or at least move it to an convenient location instead of halfway to my personal maps.

Please remove, or give the option to remove, "Folders", "Groups", "Scheduled", "Conversation History", and "Notes" from my folder list.
Agree with comments below, if your'e going to force unwanted folders onto users at least give them the option of removing them if not required.

Folders / Conversation History / Groups
Why do i need these, i don't want my inbox and everything to be in a "Folder" i wanna open my inbox and just have Inbox, Junk Email, Drafts etc...
Also Conversation history should be optional, don't want or need it in my inbox
The new groups tab.. don't want or need it either
this is all i want on my left hand pane unless i specifically turn other things on or create new folders of my own, i don't want those to be in another folder i have no use for that, it should be optional.

Please allow us to hide the "Conversation History" folder! Also the "Notes", "History", "RSS Feeds", and all other default folders!
remove rss feeds, conversation history and Notes, they are of no use whatsoever!!!
We asked for the ability to turn off empty, useless folders (Conversation History, Scheduled), not add more of them (Notes)! Please provide an option to disable selected default folders. Thanks!
remove rss feeds, conversation history and Notes, no use at all.
