Hard to tell between read and unread messages
I liked some of the ideas being used in beta, but I hate the new layout! I found it far less readable. It was more difficult to differentiate between read and unread messages quickly. I'd love the option to change the layout to what I prefer. It was enough to make me opt out.

Maybe it would be easier to see emails I haven't opened yet, if the whole line of the email notification was highlighted in a different colour as well as the bold lettered title. Like maybe in light green, so it would stand out on the screen of white lined messages.

I hate the new email format. I have had this account since 1996 and I am seriously considering canceling my account. The icons with emails are busy useless and confusing. It is harder to tell if a mesage is new or old and I hate that the checkbox in front of the emails is hidden. This is the worst upgrade ever. If customer feedback ended in this then I feel sorry for the state of humatinty.

Whenever I view an unread message, the message will change to read as it is supposed to. However, whenever I click on the next message to view that unread message the message I just read turns to unread again in the inbox. HOw do I fix this?

how do i know which messages have been read?? you know - a BASIC function that you've apparently overlooked. CHEEZ, it's only a mailer, can't you get that straight? NO, i don't need tasks, calendars, groups, busy-ness, JUST MAKE IT EASY TO READ MAIL.

I hate this new look, that by the way, is just something we open up to one day. I can not tell when I have read an email but have not decided to do anything with it. soon, It looks like I have never seen it..... total waste of time to have to look at it again. At least before, all the razzle dazzle, I could at least see that I had addressed it...regardless if I wanted decided not to delete it at the moment. HELP!!!!!

The new interface is really hard to read. I can't tell which is my unread mail, which mail I've already read and which mail I've pinned. Breaking it up into date sections with hard lines is not helpful at all. Please look into.

new inbox is rubbish, so difficult to distinguish between read and not read! was the designer colour blind? not an improvement!

Do not like the new UI. Difficult to differentiate read vs unread emails.

It happens a lot in Edge, but when I filter only unread messages and flip through them, then go back to the inbox, they're not marked as read.

Contrast between read and unread emails is very poor
In the redesign (desktop version) it is difficult to quickly see which emails have been opened/read and which ones have not. The subject line font goes from light blue to black but the sender looks the same.
Is there any way to change this, e.g.:
(1) make the sender name black,
(2) make all the unreads bold,
(3) shade the whole line/box for unreads? -

Don't love the newest update, it makes it hard to tell what emails have and haven't been read. I much prefer having all of the emails be the same size.

I have two suggestion to the new interface of the outlook.
1- Make the unread email more distinguishable than the read ones. It's kinda hard for me - at a glance - to tell which is which.
2- Please, loose the rounded icon at the left of each email. It's very confusing, and in my opinion, useless. It sometimes contain icon of the sender that dose not look right (very large inside the circle it touches the edges). and sometimes it contains the initials (meaningless letters). It also covers the checkbox, which actually should be rectangular and not circular as a radio button.
I really liked the old interface, but now since i cannot switch back to it i thought i would give you feedback of what frustrates me about the current UI.
