Bring back the Skype integration
The Skype ias apparently gone from Outlook.com beta, as the Skype button near the Settings cog icon is nowhere to be found. I think many users didn't like the integration (there was no way to completely disable it) but it still was a nice feature for Skype users.
Update January 2018:
Skype is back! :)
More improvements to the Skype integration will come in the future, but for now, please enjoy the upgraded Skype chat experience!
P.S.: If you wish to mute notifications, you can do so in the Settings panel under General > Skype > Notifications.

I use Skype and when Microsoft suddenly made a new account based on my contacts I suddenly had two accounts. A much better move would be to ask if I wanted another account and if not ask if I wanted to integrate my contacts and also which contacts into an existing Skype account.
Skype and mail integration should be optional. Auto login to Skype should be optional. Which account to log into should be optional.
Having the chance to delete the account that Microsoft made for me would be nice.

This idea is right. The integration of Skype into outlook is one of the best you have done in years. Also the Skype web is another option that is great.

Allowing the connection to Skype is fine. Just let us opt out. Being automatically logged into Skype whenever we just want to read email is annoying. And there is no say to log out.
When this get's added back, soon please, it would be great if there was a easy way to quickly / temp disable Skype and also to set how people see you status (available, away, don't disturb etc).

Skype sucks, this is what slows Outlook down - get rid of it

Debe estar ingrado Skype para que la prueba de la versión beta sea aceptada por lo usuarios y debe incluir el servicio de video conferencia per to per.

Please bring back the chat panel
El icono de mensajes de Skype no aparece como acceso directo y eso creo seria importante incluirlo en esta nueva versión

We liked a skype lateral in the same page. In beta no work and no appair.
Hola, en general me ha gustado la versión beta, sin embargo no pude encontrar donde se podía abrir un nuevo buzón, ni vi el skype que tiene

From my perspective, this was a good decision as I don't want to appear "Online" every time I check my emails.

Please do bring the Skype integration back, perhaps not as a forced feature that some users in this thread complain about, but in general, I'd want it back.
I'm running on a full-on microsoft account environment for Skype, Outlook, Skydrive and I love the idea to use outlook.com in the browser as a one-stop-shop with direct instant messaging over Skype and direct access via shortcuts to components like Office apps or Skydrive.
skype not available
I work in a large company that has highly managed terminals (can't install anything). The skype integration into email is literally the only way I have to access skype. I agree with others that it should be an option that can be enabled/disabled, however - most people are not in my situation and if I were in their shoes I would want to be able to "turn it off" as well.
I'm not receiving any pings on web mail when I'm trying Beta version of outlook.
The IM on Office 365 is pathetic and now in this beta version it got even worse.
I'd like to be able to disable Skype integration too. Regardless of if I answer/reply to a skype message or not, I get a 'Missed Conversation' email a few minutes later. I use the desktop Skype app, so doubling the notifications is quite distracting.
