  1. Too much junk / spam: Junk folder becoming to inundated

    20 year user moving to new platform. Flooded my junk box with advertisements now I have to search for any emails that may be of value to me that don't automatically filter to my inbox. It's a shame.

  2. Obvious spam being sent to Inbox

    Why is obvious spam not going to Junk or being blocked. 42 emails with the same "From" and "Subject" that arrived within 120 secs to my Inbox. These should have been filtered out and deleted or at the very least sent to Junk. Why weren't they?

  3. Rules for junk

    PLEASE add rules for junk mail. I often get mail in my junk mail that is actually useful, so I look in there often. Lately, I've been getting SO MANY phishing emails from Save Yourself trying to "blackmail" me into sending them bitcoin, and it automatically goes to my junk folder, but I want anything with the words "Save Yourself" to be deleted so I don't have to look at it. Their emails contain an old password of mine, and their emails are all different, so even if I block one, I'll get another email from a different address in…

  4. Junk e-mail: block e-mail addresses using wildcards (eg *@*.can

    Junk e-mail: why can't you allow the user to block e-mails using a wildcard and only part of the e-mail address? I receive, EVERY DAY, emails from pharmacy<something>.can and I want to block @.can instead of wasting my time to block every single instance, every single day

    We’re sorry people are experiencing issues here. We have gone back to the old behavior for the left-hand folder tree to always show since last year and we hope this has addressed most issues.

    There are some reports in the comments about individual folders not showing up. In order for us to get to the bottom of the issue, please post as much detail as possible in your comments. What steps are you taking? Which browser/computer/operating system are you using?

  8. Problems with Blocked Senders list and junk mail Filter Options.


    1. The Blocked Senders list puts email from Blocked Senders into my Junk Mail folder, rather than into my Deleted Files folder, due to the differing and changing subdomains that the spammers use.


    2. Outlook does not allow wildcard (*) to block all subdomains from each email domain.


    3. The filter options to block all subdomains from each domain don't work.


    4. How do I block all email with address in the PATTERN of a@a.b.c? Notice that a@a.b.c is a PATTERN, not an email address. An example of a particular spammer's address is holdon@holdon.luxuryzero.com which is in the PATTERN of a@a.b.c (format).

  9. Marked "Not Junk" email in junk folder

    When I mark emails in my junk folder as not junk, Outlook should remember this, and not keep putting the next emails from this sender in the junk folder

  10. Turning off spam filter

    I can't turn off the spam filter. A lot of stuff (comment updates from blogs that I DO want) wind up in the spam folder. I'd rather turn off the spam filter totally and handle it in my regular inbox, but have found no way to do that. Goes for both beta and regular version. (In fact, that I can't fix the issue with wanted mails going into spam folder was the immediate reason I decided to test beta.)

  11. Mark as phishing

    There is no option to mark something as phishing. You can only mark something as "unwanted" (translated from Danish). Even clicking on this is not removing the mail from the inbox folder.

    We should be able to block specific IP addresses, as the scammers are flooding us with junk e-mails that have a bogus "sender address."

  14. Blocked emails are not being blocked, they still show up in Junk. Please permanently block 'same types of emails' when I block it .

    Blocked emails still showing up in junk; please fix so that when 'same type of email' that was blocked will continue to be blocked and not show up in my junk mail.

  15. E-mail from trusted sender ends up in Junk

    This has been an issue in the previous revamp too. Even after adding the e-mail address of my bank to the safe senders list, I receive my bank statements in the Junk folder. I have a rule to filter messages into a separate folder. The header of the messages still says "This message is from a trusted sender".

  16. Multiple select to block will filter out the own email address blocking

    Short version: New Outlook should allow blocking of multiple selected spam messages without getting hung up on messages that spoof my own email.

    Details: Both old and new Outlook formats allow me to select and block multiple spam messages. Old Outlook used to kill my whole block list if one of the messages spoofed my own email address, and I had to start over and find the offending message, to omit it from the block list (or block each message individually).

    Old Outlook fixed this. In Old Outlook, I can multi-block, and if it sees spoof from my own email…

  17. rules that work on spam folder

    I am making tonnes of rules to try to cut down on the amount of spam I am getting. I have dozens of rules, saying for certain words to be deleted, but they are still ending up in my Junk Email. The same words being used over and over in the rules, but they are still going through. So your rules are not working what so ever.
    I was told that the rules do NOT apply to emails that are you already direct to the spam folder, that your "spam" rules bypass any rules we make ourselves. That's rather annoying.…

  18. Add an option for how long to keep junk mail

    It would be nice to have an option in Settings that would allow users to choose how long Junk Mail items stay in the JM folder before they get deleted.

  19. Blocking Emails

    Could you please fix or update the Block email function. Some senders seem to be savvy enough to stop the ability to block their email addresses and I have been receiving flithy emails from a number *** sites which has only started in the last couple of weeks. Is there some rule within the hotmail domain servers that can block these before they even reach a user. I have no idea how they even got my hotmail address in the first place and am receiving anywhere between 10-20 a day.

  20. Not Junk email Going To Junk Folder

    Other than the fact rules I set up do not seem to be recognised, some of the messages which are not junk go to the junk folder. I have to check the junk folder to stop this happening - where is the junk folder listed? I'll be staying with the non-beta version for as long as possible - loosing things that are useful and necessary is not an improvement
