It's Time to Change the Default Phone Number Format
Once upon a time, long, long ago, dialing an area code was optional. It isn't optional any more. Not on most phone systems anyway. So why do we still put the area code in parentheses? Parentheses indicates that the digits are optional. They still do. They are not optional. This situation is most ridiculous with toll free numbers such as (800) 123-0000. Really?
Either change the formatting to +1 123-456-7890 or let us change it. And don’t fall back on the Windows “Phone and Modem” control panel—it doesn’t work this way. It only lets us change the area code and…

Contact List
Just recently a bunch of my contacts, especially my groups, became harder to find. They no longer come up when I am drafting a message. I discovered that I have to switch over to the "People" tab then click on "Contact List" just to find them. This is infuriating.

Can't Move Contact with Birthday
When moving a contact from a PST to the main repository and that contact has a birthday entry, I am asked if I want to add the birthday to the calendar. If I click "No", Outlook states it cannot move the contact.

no list
Going to "People" no longer shows the list of contacts, just the first name. I'd like to be able to see every name on my list occasionally so I can decide whether or not to keep them as contacts. Also, when updating a contact's email address, I can't get rid of the old one, so I have to manually enter the whole new address to send an email to that person. Go back to the old way. You "fixed" what wasn't broke, and broke it.

Beta Outlook Contacts Page
Need to be able to sort my contact list by Company. Was able to do that in Classic Outlook but can't find a way to do it in Beta. Turned off Beta in Contacts for now. Not happy with Beta on my Mail page but can't find the button to turn off Beta on that page.

new contacts
Many of my contacts are businesses. Adding a new business contact requires too many click and select. The drop down box of previous is much more helpful.

icloud contacts
To import contacts in a vCard file to Outlook on a PC, you need to convert them from a .vcf file format to a .csv file format. This involves importing them to Windows, and then exporting them to the CSV file. If you have more than 50 or so contacts, this is a tedious process because you have to press OK for each contact you want to import to the csv file. Unfortunately, there's no way to do a global OK and import all of them to the csv file at the same time.
Come on - simplify this please...

Contacts birthday shifted
Birthday on contacts card ist shifted one day back, while in the old view the date is correct. Very annoying.
Many functions missing: connected accounts, remove - add birthday calendar, rules and last but not least proper sync of contacts with Outlook!

Save preffered sort order for contacts:
Everytime I return to contacts, I have to change the filter to my preference.
OneDrive has a feature that allows you to save your preferred sort order.
That would be a great consistent use of the feature in outlook throughout.12 votes -
Only 50 contacts are displayed in a contact list
Using Outlook.com Beta, only the first 50 contacts are displayed in a contact list. How do I display all 60 contacts.

Contact Lists / Groups needs to be more intuitive and easier to use
To create a Group of Contacts, should be easy to do, and easy to then email to. We should be able to simply scroll through the list of contacts, checking boxes next to each name; from there it should be easy to not only email the selected contacts, but also create a Contact Group from that selection.
Currently if you select contacts in this manor you literally cannot do ANYTHING to them. You can't delete in bulk, you can't create a new message to the selected, and you cannot create a Contact Group in this fashion. This is very confusing…

Contact list ruined
My contacts list is all right, but emails will not bring it up. An email to Tabbycat@meow.com brings up the old address-every address with a t that I have ever used-a lot that I don't recognise-but never Tabbycat@meow.com.
I have tidied the contacts list, but the contacts keep coming back-the old and deleted ones, never the new ones. I have to write these onto the email myself.
The contacts list itself no longer shows old or unused addresses, only current ones, so why won't these appear at the tops of new emails ?
It is incredibly annoying. I will…

Contacts
Writing an email in beta only brings up the My contact list. Unfortunately the sorting is not consistent and, in my opinion, My contacts should be eliminated with just contacts and simple sorting options of how I want to get my contacts sorted. The old version gives me the option of choosing 'My contacts' and 'Contacts'. In Beta this does not work.

cleanup contacts
There's a bug in "cleanup contacts." When I clicked on "cleanup contacts", it showed me the duplicates, but I can't scroll down the page. Since I can't uncheck whatever might be below the visible screen, I don't dare click "cleanup" because I don't know what's going to happen to those contacts. Hence, the function is entirely unusable.
