To duplicate a contact list
Perhaps a development might help
It would be good to be able to create a duplicate list that can then be slightly changed in order to create a new list.Example - if you have a list of 100 contacts and wish to create a new list for just 85 of those people, it would be easier to duplicate the first list, remove 15 people and create new list.
Much easier than making a brand new list of 85 people!!!!4 votes -
lost ability to use contact list from mail to address email or to invite guests to event in calendar
Missing capabilities now that new Outlook has been pushed out with no ability to roll back. Use contact lists extensively in the organization to invite people to calendar event and also to address emails from Mail. Is this coming back? If so, when? This is a huge loss to our organization with no means to revert back to the old version.

'People ' should be called Contacts.
'People ' should be called Contacts. sometimes it's a company that;s not a 'human' , thats a firm, an operation lol, not a people/person. ?? People is an awful label for CONTACTS.

Allow editing suggested contacts in the people tab
Suggested contacts are no longer editable in the people tab. It would be nice to either edit them, or disable the suggested contacts list altogether.

Separate People with shared e-mail address forces only one name
Basic scenario. I have Jack Smith and Jill Smith. Each has their own phone number, but share an email address.
In Outlook, one would think that I could just create two new contacts. I attempt this, and it asks me if I want to create this as a new contact or merge because both individuals have the same email address. I choose to create a New Contact. After creating this new contact, I have to close and reopen Outlook for it to show up.
Here is the issue. If is still retain the same email for both contacts, even with…

Master Repository for Contact Data
Outlook seems not to have a People/Contacts Function of its own ... It is somehow dependent on the "Native Contacts App" in Android.
Since Contacts and the various details related to Contacts are REQUIRED ALMOST EVERYWHERE (email, calendar invites, WhatsApp, SMS Texting, many other apps) Why doesn't Microsoft/Outlook take the role of "Master Repository FOR ALL Contact Data" and then allow it out into the other apps as required ... Outlook is sucking data from "Android Contacts" when it should be Blowing Data out to such Apps.2 votes -
Contact List Problem
Contact List problem: I have contacts that I added months ago. However, when I add them to a Contact List (and enter them by name), the software cannot find them. Thus I have to add them under their email address. Sometimes people have very obscure email addresses and it makes this very difficult. One of my contact lists has 12 people on it - 2 of them can only be added with their email address so their name does not show up on the list. The other 10 show up with both their name and their email address. Can you…

Display, sort and search contacts by nickname
Please add an option to display contacts' nicknames (if entered) in the contact list instead of their full names, sort the contact list by nicknames, and display contacts whose nickname matches a search query in the search results.

Custom labels for contact email addresses.
Please allow the option to create custom titles for email addresses. Rather than just "email" it would be convenient if we could label our contact's email addresses to "Microsoft Account" or "Apple ID". This makes it easier when sharing content to these services.

AutoComplete feature also displays e-mail addresses that are not stored in contact folders!
In all of these apps, email addresses are always displayed in the address and search fields, which are somewhere in emails, which one has gotten once - more precisely, in the recipient addresses of such emails. In the case of Outlook Desktop, this is the case if you write a new e-mail in the recipient fields, further up in the tool bar "Start> search for persons", continue in the online service Outlook.com resp. in the Exchange online variant, continue in the Outlook app for Android / iOS, when I search for a person (magnifying glass in the middle) and then select…

Google's export to CSV is not properly parsed by Microsoft's import from CSV.
For contacts, Google's export to CSV uses field names that Microsoft's import does not understand. The result is the unknown fields are saved in the Notes field. This is very clumsy import and forces the user to perform LOTS of editing. You show an example of some fields in a few records in the .csv file, but not enough for the user to know the import of the CSV will result in a good set of contacts. You need to provide a mapping of what Google uses for field names to what you use for field names. Since Google and…

Add an option to sync contacts with Google Contacts along with their profile pictures.
Add an option to sync contacts with Google Contacts along with their profile pictures.
Currently, only Yahoo! Mail does have that option, but it comes in really handy at times.
