This is the forum where you can give us feedback about the new experiences in Outlook.com.

  2. missing search bar

    Please reinstate the search email bar. I know you can search using the 'search' menu, but this is FAR less intuitive, more clunky and is really not user friendly in the same way as before. I could just type a couple of letters and instantly my emails would sort by subject, or person or whatever I was looking for. Now, I have to click here, click there etc etc.

  3. Show the suggested senders when you search in the shared mailbox

    If you search in the Inbox of user mailbox, suggested senders are shown in the search bar. However, when you search in the shared mailbox, previous search history is only shown instead of the suggested members.
    I would ask you to implement a feature for shared mailbox to show the suggested senders in the search bar.

  6. Replying to emails

    I really do not like the Beta version of replying to emails. When I receive a return email, I can rarely find my email to them, especially if it is a long chain?! I spend time searching for my emails.
    I also do not like the tiny space you are given when replying to emails.

  7. Search more flexibly when using Name only in the Outlook client address book

    It would be great if we can search users more flexibly when using the Name only option in address book. Specifically, enable searching with both Japanese and English, key words other than display names or enable soft-match. Currently we can search display names by forward-matching with using the Name only option from Outlook client address book.

  8. Item selection is ambiguous with search "Top results"

    When searching for emails, some items can appear in BOTH "Top results" and regular results sections. It's possible to select an item that appears in "Top results", and at the same time not select the same item under regular search results, or vice versa. Then the expected result of actions becomes ambiguous.

    For example I often search for a category of emails I want to delete. I would select all results, unselect a few that I want to keep, then click "Delete all". But, if the item I unselected happens to appear in both sections, then it gets deleted anyway…

    How to remove the highlighting of the search term after you have found the desired email(s)?

  11. Bug: multiple selected emails are cleared.

    BUG
    1. Run a search.
    2. Start selecting emails in the returned results.
    3. Click on an email outside the selection mark

    Expected: either the email is opened but when you go back to the search results your results are still selected OR you do not lose all the selected emails.
    ACTUAL: you lose all the selected emails.

  12. New feedback

    Beta is Horrible

    My account refreshed itself last night, and I was greeted with the

    message "welcome to the new Outlook!" And there was no way to

    toggle back to the classic look.

    It's horrible.

    The page is actually difficult to look at. The senders' names and

    subjects used to be bolded to indicate new messages. Now, the

    subjects are bolded, but the senders' aren't.

    Why are there little icons and graphics all over the page? They

    are completely unnecessary and just make it cluttered.

    There is a "Favorite" folders section. Why? I don't need help

    finding my own folders.…

  13. Enhance the UserVoice Feedback Search and Results

    Feedback on the UserVoice Feedback page itself...
    1. There should be a way to provide feedback about UserVoice itself directly from a client's UserVoice site (such as outlook.uservoice.com).
    2. The search does not appear to support exact matches by enclosing text in quotes. Please add this so users can limit results.
    3. The search/results do not appear to support filtering by date range. Please add this so users can do more specific searches (excluding results from older versions, etc.).

  15. The new OUTLOOK.com sucks in so many ways I don't have time to list them all.

    The search perimeters are too narrow, it is useless.
    Since you formed this partnership with UserVoice you have messed this site up so badly it has become a nightmare.
    The "auto population" drop down list for contacts shows up prior to the fist letter being entered.
    WAY TOO MANY THINGS TO LIST, YOU DON'T LISTEN
    IT IS NOT FIT FOR BUSINESS!

  17. Search recoverable items removes Restore option

    If recoverable items are searched and selected, there is no way to recover them because the Restore button toolbar at the top is replaced with one showing the number of selected items.

    The only way to restore items is to scroll through them all manually looking for what you can find and then selecting them.

  18. Search Icon in Calendar has disappeared - can't search

    I can't search in calendar any more. The search icon (magnifying glass) has disappeared. I can search in messages.

  20. Difficulties in finding folders

    Search function for folder names and lsit all folders.

    I can't find some of my folders properly. When I use "move to" - I can see the names on all my folders. But it seems I can't find the folders neither under "folders" nor inmail. How do I find a folder such as "Gitarr" for example? ( I do have one folder called Gitarr and sång)
