  1. No Safe Sender Button Available

When on an email in the Junk folder, there is no Safe Sender button to hit to move the email directly to the inbox AND add the email address to the Safe Sender list

  2. Fix phishing button

The Outlook phishing function should either be deleted or linked to expanded blocking capacity, because it doesn't appear to do anything useful, now.

  3. Junk Email Folder

Junk Email folder - who decides what is 'junk' and how? I have recently had messages about insurance renewal, banking, and medical appointments all sent to the Junk Email folder because 'someone or something' simply decides that they are not relevant. However other **** in which I have absolutely no interest seems to appear in my Inbox. I suggest your algorithm that decides what is what needs some serious reworking.

  4. Add "Name" to Rules

Add username to "rules" to block spam.

Many of the generic spam/clickbait have unique email address codes, but share the same "service@intl.paypal.com" name.

Having a rule to block names or partial names would help filter all the potential spam, regardless of the incoming email address.

  5. Junk Email Deleted Quicker Than Advertised

The Junk Email folder has a banner saying "Junk Email will be deleted after 30 days" yet it repeatedly automatically deletes things 11 days old. Really not happy!!

  6. Blocking needs to be normal: no extra checkmarks and blocked items removed directly instead of moving them to the 'removed items' map.

Please change the blocking section to normal: no need for checking an extra box to block mails and remove blocked items directly instead of moving them to the 'removed items' map.

  8. Junk Email after move items doesn't display Not Junk tab

On laptop - Move x items from Junk Email using the Not Junk tab drop down, select Not Junk. The Junk page redisplays, but I don't get the Not Junk tab, so I cannot pick it again to do the drop down and select Phishing. I have to go back to Inbox, then, back to Junk Email, then, the Not Junk tab displays and I can select Phishing. Please always redisplay all the tabs when in Junk email. Thanks!

  9. Phishing Flag Increases Junk E-mail

Junk e-mail increases after I flag items as phishing scams. Yesterday I flagged a few e-mails as phishing scams and today I have about 30 new spam e-mails.

  11. Option to forward junk mail

Mail forwarding (even with Rules now!) doesn't forward mail in "Junk". I've missed a few important emails now.

    Could I either:
    a) disable Junk mail completely
    b) Apply mail forwarding to junk mail

The workaround here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/can-i-set-outlook-to-forward-junk-mail/c126d578-f3b6-41dd-a329-cd36ff30a116 doesn't seem to work for me

  12. Messages arriving in inbox already flagged

Lately some incoming spam already has a message "flag" set on it. How are incoming messages already marked as flagged messages. It seems like this would be a prime indicator of spam.

  13. Phishing using Apple's name

    Apple related phishing scams:

Why do I get 2 or 3 phishing emails every day for things apple related from microsoft's mail system, but never a one from gmail? I report EVERY ONE OF THEM, but you guys can';t figure out how to filter these? Is Microsoft not as competent as Google or just plain inept and/or lazy?

  15. Add a way to mark forwarded emails as safe

The junk filter for emails sent to my x@outlook.com address works fine. However, I also have emails sent to x@mydomain.com forwarded by my domain provider to my x@outlook.com address which is not looked upon kindly by Outlook. By default all forwarded emails go to junk. Once I mark a sender as safe, further emails from that sender generally don’t go to junk anymore. However, it is incredibly difficult to do this for emails everyday. I have lost many important emails like this. I understand that Outlook looks at the “to” address on the email, sees that it’s not it’s own…

  18. Senders using a domain name with extra characters after the @ before the end of the domain to create new senders

Senders using a domain name with extra characters after the @ before the end of the domain to create new senders

Domains often allow its users to add jusk prior to the end of the domain creating another piece of trash email which is unwanted. IE: @******.amazon.com Can it be setup to deny any address which contains any part of the domain name which they use so the whole set can be blocked - not just sent to the junk mail box or removed subscription where they now go? I also don't like any item ending in .de

  19. Auto Delete Junk Mail

When I indicate an email is junk, it is automatically moved to delete Folder. But as part of the Microsoft Spam Fighters, when I indicate a suspected email is junk, nothing happens - meaning I then need to delete the Spam Fighter email. If I indicate junk, it should be moved to delete too.

  20. Fix Spam and whitelist rules

Not spam button doesn't ever remember settings. Should whitelist addresses so messages marked as "Not Spam" should never go into spam again.
