Display Modes for Density or Compact
isn't it possible to have more compact view? menus are taking lots of space in screen and way too annoying.
I again thank each and everyone of you for using Outlook.com and for providing all of your feedback. I wanted to let you know that as of today we have enabled Density settings. There are three modes which control how tight and how much information is shown on the screen.
To change the density settings click on the gear in the top right (settings). In the pane that opened you should see three setting Full, Medium and Compact.
Hope this helps address some of the concerns around white space :)
give us an option to choose the old lay out.
I want the old layout.I do not like the new one.
The double spacing looks prettier but makes it harder to use, eg to see whether other people are responding on the same issue. I would like the option to choose double or single spaced. If only one, I would go for single spaced
THERE IS NOTHING TO LIKE WHEN IT COMES TO BETA. PLEASE MAKE IT GO AWAY.

This is my biggest complaint. The message kerning is horrible.

The new Layout is just to empty, not everyone have a big screen, i need more information on a single screen!!! please do at least have a Compact mode, so that i can choose it, to have it to show more email.

We were not given a choice. This was not a good move for a company to make this decision. I may have to simply get another service, it's ineffective, inefficient and cumbersome!

way too much spacing between emails in the inbox and also too much space between folder names. i hate this sooo much!

Takes up too room per line
Try looking at Gmail for inspiration on how to treat customers...
The Glaring White space kills my ability to read because of my learning disabilities. At least Gmail cares about it's users when it gives options that we can turn on and off. If you lose customers to Gmail, they are never coming back. Maybe consider it's your job on the line if you keep alienating us and thinking you know the EXACT way our inbox should look.
Yup, AGREED! Vertical spacing is a WASTE. OF. SPACE.
Stop forcing ridiculous changes on us. Give us choices and options. Compact/Comfortable, choice makes us all happy!!!!!
Agreed! I can only see just over half the # of emails on my computer. WASTE OF SPACE. Bring back COMPACT OPTION!
Stop changing everything! Why not add OPTIONS (that we can choose if we WANT) instead of forcing **** on us. I'm this close to transferring this last email to Gmail. I HATE Outlook.
Ditto, horrible layout
Endless scrolling seems to be the new norm these days. I DETEST the new page look, not enough emails being shown without endless scrolling.
Dislike something and a suggestion
cumbersome! I would like to know how to reduce line-spacing among emails in inbox messages (as the previous version).
I would like to have maximum or upto 30-35 emails visible on each page
Outlook goes from bad to worse. The last few changes were horrible. This one is just ridiculously bad. If I wanted it, I would have kept the beta on, but you'll notice I didn't like it so I never used it. Why all the lines between emails? It takes forever to scroll through them now.
Do what gmail does and allow this to be user-configurable.
FAR too much space is wasted on single rows, especially considering that many of us have quite a lot of email to sift through.
Keep in mind that more lines in view at ones = improved efficiency.
Agree!!! Do not like the the new view. Too big - too cumbersome!
