It gives a complete view of interactions with each business contact, helps track tasks and deals in progress, and surfaces timely reminders—all next to your inbox. Outlook Customer Manager will be available at no extra cost to Office 365 Business Premium subscribers – beginning with those in First Release program and continuing worldwide in the coming months.   2. More field options when importing

    There were a lot more field options on BCM when importing Contacts, Companies and Deals. One major setup I have in using OCM, is that I cannot associate a number of fields to my contacts. Most importantly: Company, Mobile Phone and Category.

  4. Create a link back from a created task to the associated contact

    I can create a task in Customer Manager, with a due date, and the task appears with no problem in the task list. If I view the customer or the task list in the Customer Manager, I can see the associated task. However, when I open the task from the Outlook's Tasks, in the navigation panel, there is no way find out which contact it is linked to.

    I currently use the "Daily Task List" in the Calendar view. Currently, tasks created from the customer manager appear here, but it is impossible to find out who they are associated with…

  6. Task Categories

    Allow assignment of a task to a category when being created. I sort my tasks by context, ala GTD. Being able to add context to a task (@Computer, @Calls etc.) would be a big help. It would save the step of having to go back to the task list and sort your newly created OCM tasks.

  7. OCM, Onenote and Office Lens Business card scanning

    I've used Office Lens to can business cards and capture the information. Works great, but the default storage in Outlook is contacts. Why can we not store to OCM directly?

  10. Deleting and sharing of custom columns

    I added a column for contact information and then had to delete it so that i could change the Column type but it will not update. It keeps only the options of the first time i added the column. Suggestions, 1) debug better so your product works 2) let us change the column type without deleting it 3) i get an error when i try to export (see comment 4) let other people i share the contact with see my custom added columns. Overall, I was hoping i could recommend this tool to my team, but it still has significant…

    Hello, thank you for contacting us. Here a few answers to your questions:
    2.) This is technically not possible at this time. I suggest the new field type you want to create. Try by naming it slightly different and then renaming it after the creation.
    3.) This is a bug, we are working on
    4.) this is a bug we are working on (sorry) – please also contact support, so we can get your contact information and can look into your account.

    We are working on the issues and it is partially available in Mac – you can see the email integration there.

  11. Tasks editable only by user who enters them

    Although it is possible to enter tasks within OCM which are also viewable by other authorised users (if the Contact/Company/Deal is shared). The other users cannot edit the task, mark it as complete or see the end date. In addition if the task user marks it as complete other users still see the task as open. Ideally other users should be able to amend tasks, but at the very least should see completed tasks as completed.

  12. Field Formatting

    'Date' columns are formatted Date/Time: 2015-08-26T00:00:00. When adding a column for a date, there should be 'format' parameter:
    mm/dd/yy
    mm/dd/yyyy
    mmm, dd, yyyy
    mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss
    mm/dd/yy hh:mm
    mm/dd/yy hh:mm am/pm

    With the ability to add hours/minutes in the edit mode. Currently there's a date selector but no time selector...

  13. birthdays

    When adding a birthday to a contact it doesn't seem to do anything, I would think a reminder added to the calendar would be default. If this is the case it doesn't work. It actually shows the birthday in my iPhone calendar but no where in the outlook iPhone app or outlook for desktop.

  14. Add more than one email to a Business card

    It would be good to add more than one email.
    I like to have several emails saved e.g. enquiries, accounts, procurement.
    There is nothing worse than trying to issue an invoice and not having all the right emails at hand

  15. Links to Tasks, Appointments and Folders

    I see someone suggested linking to existing tasks (including those created from an email) but also an existing appointment from Calendar. Also, would like to link to a directory Folder not just files.

  17. Mobile Client - Add Alphabetical scroller to contacts and companies list

    I have over 300 entries in my companies list now. It's too unwieldy to scroll through it and I don't prefer to search. It would be nice to see an alphabetical scroller on the right or be able to click on a letter and see a list of letter to jump to (kind of like how Windows Phone used to do it).

    The data in the custom user fields (An inserted a column) in the Contact Record has been very unstable. It disappears.

  20. Make it more reliable.

    Many times it fails, or pops up that it is not available yet to me (even though I was using it earlier in the day). Also, make things autosave so you don't accidentially navigate away.
