Outlook Customer Manager, a new Office 365 service, helps small businesses track and grow their customer relationships right within Outlook. It gives a complete view of interactions with each business contact, helps track tasks and deals in progress, and surfaces timely reminders—all next to your inbox. Outlook Customer Manager will be available at no extra cost to Office 365 Business Premium subscribers – beginning with those in First Release program and continuing worldwide in the coming months.   1. Please can you include outgoing emails in the contact record, at present the contact record only has incoming emails

    Include the outgoing and incoming emails for a contact in the contact level OCM record. At present only the incoming emails are included in the contact record - you have to go to the company record to see connected outgoing emails. Of course a company record could have many contact associated with it, so having outgoing emails only in this view makes little sense to me.

  2. Bulk Delete Data

    I have now had a chance to understand the optimal set up for my data and now would like to start with a clean database. At the moment the only way to do this is to individually delete each item, which is impractical.

  3. creation of companies and contacts

    I created a company and wanted to add a new contact. I got a message this was not possible because the application had to register the company.
    So I created the contact separately

    after an hour when I want to link the two entities, it is still not possible because the company must be recorded. Is it expected?

  5. Deleted contacts keep reappearing

    I've been trying to delete some contacts this morning, and they keep reappearing after a few minutes. I've tried from multiple machines now but these entries keep coming back.

    We need to filter on when the contact was added so we can export them and add them to our mailchimp email lists.

  9. I would like to open OCM from a contact's page, by finding a contact (in people) and then clicking an icon to find all the linked actions

    Generally if I want to find out where I am upto regarding a particular contact I would go to that person's file (Contact page). But in OCM the OCM icon does not appear on the ribbon when in the contact page. this is crazy.
    If I want to know who I need to call next, I can go to tasks, and there is the task and there is the icon for OCM, but if I want to know what I need to do next for Joe Dole, the icon is not there.
    COntact management MUST be contact focused, NOT activity…

  10. There appears to be a slow-down or hang with large contact lists

    The account using the OCM has a contact list with 5275 contacts. When going to the OCM add-in panel in Outlook 2016, it loads a small portion of those contact into view, and at the bottom of that list continues to show a "Loading" spinner.

    You can search by name and find a contact using the search function, but if you try to search again the entire add-in hangs.

  12. Stand-alone interface

    Is it possible to access a stand-alone interface where I can see all my contacts at once? Currently I am only able to access Customer Manager by clicking on the icon when I have an email selected, but I cannot see my entire database of contacts.

  13. The color of the contacts should be in sync with the color of categories and we need to be able to categorize contacts

    Categorizing Contacts and Color Coordinating them between their category and emblem with initials.

  14. Ability to add all the contacts on an email not just the person who sent it

    Only the sender can be added via Customer Manager window while in the mailbox.
    It would be great to add all those the email was sent to / cc'd. Especially as the majority of them are from the same company.

    Ideally when you add one contact OCM should prompt you when there are new contacts with the same email domain as the contact you just saved.

    When you open Outlook Customer Manager next to the email, in the top right corner is a link called: “View all related”. When you go there you will find a way to add other people on the email. Does that help?

  15. More field options when importing

    There were a lot more field options on BCM when importing Contacts, Companies and Deals. One major setup I have in using OCM, is that I cannot associate a number of fields to my contacts. Most importantly: Company, Mobile Phone and Category.

  16. Adding a new contact to a company should save it to the company without having to click save

    When you add a new contact to a company the interface is very clunky. You add the contact, and then you want to start editing it but if you don't click save, you will get a modal saying you are going to loose your changes. Automatically save the contact to the company and then take me to the editable details of the contact.

  17. Universal Deal

    Please allow the creation of an optional UNIVERSAL Deal. A deal that can be linked to more than one contact or company.

    For example: I have 100 Contacts and/or Companies that all use the EXACT same deal. Rather than having to re-create that same deal 100 times, allow it to be linked to be a universal or shared deal.

  18. Import contacts and/or companies in bulk

    There needs to be a way to easily import bulk companies and/or contacts into OCM. I know this is a problem but couldn't see it as a suggestion in the ideas list unbelievably!

  19. Please add a "Website" into contact

    In the contact card, there is phone number, email address, and physical address, but not a place for a website. I always review a new customer's site before sending out an email and often look again when checking in current customers to see whats new.
