Outlook Customer Manager, a new Office 365 service, helps small businesses track and grow their customer relationships right within Outlook. It gives a complete view of interactions with each business contact, helps track tasks and deals in progress, and surfaces timely reminders—all next to your inbox. Outlook Customer Manager will be available at no extra cost to Office 365 Business Premium subscribers – beginning with those in First Release program and continuing worldwide in the coming months.   1. Large contact lists get stuck and prevent searching more than once

    When on the OCM view under add-ins in Outlook 2016, searching for a name in the contact list will show it. However, attempting to search for another name shows nothing and causes the entire OCM panel to hang (all views, contacts, today, deals, etc). You need to then click on a different section of Outlook (Mail, People, calendar, etc), and then click BACK to the OCM add-in page to be able to search again.

    This may be due to having a large contact list, but it is unclear.

  3. Deleting and sharing of custom columns

    I added a column for contact information and then had to delete it so that i could change the Column type but it will not update. It keeps only the options of the first time i added the column. Suggestions, 1) debug better so your product works 2) let us change the column type without deleting it 3) i get an error when i try to export (see comment 4) let other people i share the contact with see my custom added columns. Overall, I was hoping i could recommend this tool to my team, but it still has significant…

    Hello, thank you for contacting us. Here a few answers to your questions:
    2.) This is technically not possible at this time. I suggest the new field type you want to create. Try by naming it slightly different and then renaming it after the creation.
    3.) This is a bug, we are working on
    4.) this is a bug we are working on (sorry) – please also contact support, so we can get your contact information and can look into your account.

    We are working on the issues and it is partially available in Mac – you can see the email integration there.

  4. Last Contact Attempted

    "Last Contacted" seems to be when the contact in a Deal contacts me. That is great, but even more valuable would be "Last Contact Attempted" so I can see the Deal view who I need to follow up with.

  6. Duplicate contacts

    We are getting duplicates of all contacts in OCM.

    The extra contact seems to lack information regarding company or deals, but it is a hassle and creates confusion for the users.

  8. Business Contact not Displayed

    i change contacts to Business contacts about 40. they do not show in the display area when I select business contacts. when I change sort to Z to A some show but not all

  9. Add Job Title field in contacts

    Each contact needs to have a job title - when you import contacts it lets you map to the field, but you can't see it anywhere.

  10. Company Tasks shown under contacts

    When viewing the Contact info (Deals, Tasks, Timeline), show items that are assigned to the same company as the contact. Currently, only tasks specifically assigned to the contact are shown.

  13. Show/edit other fields that are in Outlook

    Other fields such as a contact's Title, Department, Fax #, etc. are not viewable or editable in Outlook Customer Manager (OCM). If I go into the "People" area of Outlook I can find the contact and edit the other fields, but if I switch back to OCM I still cannot view or edit those fields.

  16. Relationship between company and deals to contacts..

    When I look at a company, I can see multiple contacts related to this. The product does let let me add the same contact to multiple contacts - However, when I go to the contact detail, I am unable to see all the companies that are associated with the contact.

    Also, there is only the ability to link a deal to one company. It would be good to link multiple company to one deals...

  17. Integrate Contacts with Outlook for Android

    You need to create a contact in Outlook desktop to trigger it to integrate with Outlook for Android. If you make a contact from the OCM workflow, it doesn't show up in OfA

  18. Sync Business Center contacts

    The Business Center apps contacts tab has a field to show whether a contact is a customer or a lead - this information seems not to be available anywhere in OCM, which makes using Business Center with OCM pretty much pointless. Surely, the fields should be synced.

  19. multiple deals with one contact

    If I have multiple ongoing deals with one contact, I like to link incoming emails to a certain deal. Otherwise I see each and every email with that contact in each deal. Doesn't make sense, does it?

    appears to be some upper limit in number of All Contacts - I have 2000 and it causes the app to crash
