Outlook Customer Manager, a new Office 365 service, helps small businesses track and grow their customer relationships right within Outlook. It gives a complete view of interactions with each business contact, helps track tasks and deals in progress, and surfaces timely reminders—all next to your inbox. Outlook Customer Manager will be available at no extra cost to Office 365 Business Premium subscribers – beginning with those in First Release program and continuing worldwide in the coming months.   1. Search/Magnifying Glass to do a global search

    When searching "All Contacts" it seems to only pull names, not companies as well. If I type in a company name, it should return all associated employees.

    When clicking on a recipient address in Outlook Email there should be an option to add to OCM not just Outlook contacts.

  4. make OCM available also for additional non-exchange accounts

    I can the OCM use only for my one Exchange account in Outlook. If I go to the additional IMAP and POP accounts the OCM button disappears.

  5. I would like to open OCM from a contact's page, by finding a contact (in people) and then clicking an icon to find all the linked actions

    Generally if I want to find out where I am upto regarding a particular contact I would go to that person's file (Contact page). But in OCM the OCM icon does not appear on the ribbon when in the contact page. this is crazy.
    If I want to know who I need to call next, I can go to tasks, and there is the task and there is the icon for OCM, but if I want to know what I need to do next for Joe Dole, the icon is not there.
    COntact management MUST be contact focused, NOT activity…

  6. Make Outlook Customer Manager available also offline

    Customer data are in particular useful directly before a customer is visited. A typical situation is the flight to a customer. To look up data during the flight Outlook Customer Manager needs to be available also offline.

  7. Able to customize deal table - column order and views

    It should be possible to customize the table on the deals page including the following in order of implementation:
    Deleting/hiding unwanted columns. For example, I am the only user in my business, so it's not useful to have a column in the table which says I'm the owner.
    Able to re-order columns. Suppose there is a custom field I need to sort/filter on all the time. It's extremely inconvenient if I have to scroll way to the right to find it.
    Able to name/save/recall views: For eample, the user should be able to customize a view (including specific columns, column…

  9. multiple deals with one contact

    If I have multiple ongoing deals with one contact, I like to link incoming emails to a certain deal. Otherwise I see each and every email with that contact in each deal. Doesn't make sense, does it?

  12. Create Reporting Capabilities

    It would be helpful to have some level of reporting to evaluate key business metrics like conversions, length of time in the pipeline, etc.

  14. Sending Mass Emails

    Is it possible, or will it be possible to send mass emails from OCM?

    Ideally having a function to create an advanced filter like BCM would be great.

    This is a MUST for our company and many others I expect.

    Still waiting to get access to Customer Manager on First Release, but already have an idea. Just had a new business lead come in via LinkedIn message so being able to track that would be essential.

  16. Shared contacts directly from Outlook

    Please make sure contacts can be shared with everyone using Customer Manager from Outlook as well as via API-access for other systems. Global Address Books doesn't work well for SMBs.

  20. Fix bugs: mutlitple contacts per company, multiple contacts per deal, share shared

    This application is very glitchy, which is disappointing. Primary glitches I'm running into:

    1) I am only able to add company to one contact. Thereafter, that company is not available to future contacts. 1-1 relationship? Same goes for deals. Once add, it's gone.

    2) Shared contacts cannot be seen. Where do they go and why can't my co-workers see them?

    I view these as core to OCM so I'm surprised to be running into these issues right out of the gate.
