Is it possible to access a stand-alone interface where I can see all my contacts at once? Currently I am only able to access Customer Manager by clicking on the icon when I have an email selected, but I cannot see my entire database of contacts.
Yes, you can see it. In the left corner, click on the three dots and find – Addins or Solutions. From here you can get a larger view of your contacts. More information here : https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Get-started-with-Outlook-Customer-Manager-48331ce0-c356-4186-8987-c86676520dc7
I have three separate emails. One is the general business email from the website, one is mine and one is personal. My office account is registered under the general office account. I have to click on inbox for the registered account before I can see OCM contacts. If I open a contact for information then go back to calendar (for example) OCM closes & I have to navigate to it again. Very cumbersome!
Further to that, what I find helpful is if you rearrange the icons in "Navigation Options" so that the add in icon is always visible in your primary outlook window, then you can right click on it to "open in new window" - having your regular outlook interface in one window while having OCM open in a second window is very helpful. Sometimes you run into the second window "breaking" as I assume maybe this wasn't explicitly designed and there might be issues with refresh - but its not that big a deal - I simply close the second window an reopen it.
The stand-alone interface could be improved to be allow more information to be seen within the available window. Currently, the font is relatively large and some windows only open as side bars, instead of taking up the whole window.
