Outlook Customer Manager, a new Office 365 service, helps small businesses track and grow their customer relationships right within Outlook. It gives a complete view of interactions with each business contact, helps track tasks and deals in progress, and surfaces timely reminders—all next to your inbox. Outlook Customer Manager will be available at no extra cost to Office 365 Business Premium subscribers – beginning with those in First Release program and continuing worldwide in the coming months.   1. Column Filtering and drop-down menus

    As a database it is useful to be able to filter the data you input. It is currently possible to filter for the pre-determined columns, but not for user created columns. In addition for user created columns it would be useful (similar to some of the pre-defined columns) to be able to select a drop-down menu and pre-define the choices of text entry.

  2. Modify layout?

    Is is possible to modify the layout (add new fields and pages) like in BCM (Business Contact Manager)?

  3. Import data from Outlook Business Contact Manager

    We have been using Outlook Business Contact Manager. This clearly looks to the replacement for BCM but will our BCM data be migrated?

  4. Share Select Emails, Because Obviously Want Some Emails to be Private

    Please add a feature to select which emails are shared, because there will obviously be some emails that one might like to keep private from the rest of the team.

  5. Share with Specific Colleagues or Groups

    Share contact, deal, company, task, etc. with specific colleagues or groups. Right now "share" shares with the OCM O365 Group. Please expand this to other contacts and groups.

    Great feature! And iOS app is coming along nicely.

  7. LinkedIn integration

    Still waiting to get access to Customer Manager on First Release, but already have an idea. Just had a new business lead come in via LinkedIn message so being able to track that would be essential.

  8. More field options when importing

    There were a lot more field options on BCM when importing Contacts, Companies and Deals. One major setup I have in using OCM, is that I cannot associate a number of fields to my contacts. Most importantly: Company, Mobile Phone and Category.

  9. Holiday Card List

    Please allow a way to create a list of contacts that need to be sent a holiday card. This could be a SharePoint list that pulls in contact information from OCM. I'm sure there are other uses for a contact list of this sort, and is available on other CRM systems (i.e. tagging, etc.).

  10. Link Multiple Contacts to Same Recurring Calendar Event Without Invite

    Please provide the ability to link multiple contacts to same recurring calendar event without having to send an invite to each contact. Also, please add the ability to do this from within the Outlook Calendar window without having to go into OCM to create the link.

    In general, linkage should be allowed to be made from within Outlook and not just within OCM.

  11. Google Calendar support

    Most of my scheduling I do on google Calendar most of my devices are android. Google calendar works well with maps. The calendar is also easy to share with other that are outside of my organization (my family) so I know where they are without having to install additional software.

  12. Quickbooks intigration

    I end up having to double enter customer information in both outlook and my accounting software. an option to add a customer or vendor and have it export to QB would be really useful or something to continuously or periodic sync the customer/vendor data between outlook and QB.

  14. Allow Tasks created outside Customer Manager to be added to the Task List.

    Anyone who has been using Outlook for some time, has task they created or, will create that they may want to appear in the Customer Manager Task List including, tasks created from e-mails.

  15. Add sub-tasks

    Tasks linked to customer contacts are good, but the ability to have tasks AND subtasks would be great.

    Our manufacturing company frequently works with customers on multiple projects that run in parallel. Each project has one to two dozen discreet tasks associated with it. Each task would represent a project overall. Linked sub-tasks would represent what needed to be accomplished on each project.

    We don't need the complexity of MS Project but we need more than one level task lists (or the one level task list with check boxes in the Office 365 Planner).

  17. Stand-alone interface

    Is it possible to access a stand-alone interface where I can see all my contacts at once? Currently I am only able to access Customer Manager by clicking on the icon when I have an email selected, but I cannot see my entire database of contacts.

  18. Visualization of Sales Funnel

    Since Outlook Customer Manager contains Deals Management including the categorization by different Stages, it would be consequent to offer a summary of deals sorted by the different Stages, such as a Sales Funnel. Additionally it would be helpful if the user could define his own Stages.

  19. Issues when assigning a non Exchange license - please fix

    How can we turn off this feature on Customer's Tenant?

    We are now getting error/s on assigning licenses because of this feature.

    To assign a license that contains Outlook Customer Manager, you must also assign one of the following service plans: Exchange Online (Plan 2), Exchange Online (Plan 1).

  20. Make Outlook Customer Manager available also offline

    Customer data are in particular useful directly before a customer is visited. A typical situation is the flight to a customer. To look up data during the flight Outlook Customer Manager needs to be available also offline.
