Outlook Customer Manager, a new Office 365 service, helps small businesses track and grow their customer relationships right within Outlook. It gives a complete view of interactions with each business contact, helps track tasks and deals in progress, and surfaces timely reminders—all next to your inbox. Outlook Customer Manager will be available at no extra cost to Office 365 Business Premium subscribers – beginning with those in First Release program and continuing worldwide in the coming months.   1. The Grid Control thas shows the matrix of Contacts, Companies and Deals needs to be editable.

    A Grid Control should be editable like an Excel spreadsheet. Having to select a record, select 'edit mode' then navigate/scroll down the specific field, is not productive. Takes us right back to the 1960's and working on IBM mainframes.

  2. Issue with all web based links opening in Internet Explorer instead of default web browser (even Edge)

    Happening on Windows 10 v1607 with Edge set as default browser. Even the feedback button opened this site in IE.

  3. Issue creating deals under deal stages using names of previously deleted deal stage.

    Errors out when trying to add a deal to the recreated stage using previously deleted stage name.

  4. The color of the contacts should be in sync with the color of categories and we need to be able to categorize contacts

    Categorizing Contacts and Color Coordinating them between their category and emblem with initials.

    You cannot delete default columns. You can add new columns (see add new columns in each list). We will look into adding phone numbers to the default columns. Also you can move columns with drag and drop, so you can move Shared with to the end, if you want to.

  6. Share contacts with Microsoft Bookings

    I've recently started using Microsoft Bookings for my business. It would be great if there could be syncing of contacts/companies between the two.

  7. Deleted contacts keep reappearing

    I've been trying to delete some contacts this morning, and they keep reappearing after a few minutes. I've tried from multiple machines now but these entries keep coming back.

  8. Flag for Email to see if they are in the Contact manager

    It would be great, to see in the Outlook mail inbox. if the contact is already flagged in the customer manager

  9. Tasks editable only by user who enters them

    Although it is possible to enter tasks within OCM which are also viewable by other authorised users (if the Contact/Company/Deal is shared). The other users cannot edit the task, mark it as complete or see the end date. In addition if the task user marks it as complete other users still see the task as open. Ideally other users should be able to amend tasks, but at the very least should see completed tasks as completed.

  10. Contact categories or groups for mailing lists etc

    I need an efficient way to tag, sort and group customers into e.g. Mailing lists. Multiple tags must be possible

  11. Show/edit other fields that are in Outlook

    Other fields such as a contact's Title, Department, Fax #, etc. are not viewable or editable in Outlook Customer Manager (OCM). If I go into the "People" area of Outlook I can find the contact and edit the other fields, but if I switch back to OCM I still cannot view or edit those fields.

  13. Company Tasks shown under contacts

    When viewing the Contact info (Deals, Tasks, Timeline), show items that are assigned to the same company as the contact. Currently, only tasks specifically assigned to the contact are shown.

  16. Send email or meeting request from Deal list

    When a company is selected in the list, clicking Email or Meeting from the Communicate tab will open an Outlook item with the contacts pre-filled. The same experience does not occur when clicking the buttons with a Deal selected.

  19. Bulk Delete Data

    I have now had a chance to understand the optimal set up for my data and now would like to start with a clean database. At the moment the only way to do this is to individually delete each item, which is impractical.

    Right now it supports $. Would be great to be able to pick the currency when adding a deal.

    We currently support several currencies. To change the currency. Go to the deals tab in the module, on the amount column click on the pencil icon. Here you can select another currency. Let me know if this doesn’t meet your needs.
