Remove the Unsubscribe button at the top for all subscription based emails
There is an annoying feature that appears for some emails- an "Unsubscribe" button that appears below the sender-subject-retention policy header. I'd like the option to turn this off or remove it.

Import/Export folders and subfolders
I really need to export/import folders and subfolders. This enables me to prune folders by archiving them--and then restoring archived folder if I need them. Have had this capability in outlook in previous version, but not now. This seems to be a regression bug.

Finally fix the Outlook for Mac password prompt issue.
Exactly as it sounds... how there hasn't already been a fix for this is beyond me.

Quote character instead of indentation
Indentation is not enough for quoting email text. Not having a clear character as ”>“ (as plain text standard) or “|” (as apple mail) holds me from using Outlook on my Mac. Although it is a really goog email client.
Come on, please!3 votes -

Standardise Rules functionality in the Mac and Windows clients
I want to set up a rule that automatically flags specific emails for follow-up in a week's time. The criteria are simple: all emails from a defined sender with a specific phrase in the subject line. I can do this in the Windows version of Outlook, but it's a client-side rule that will only operate when I've got the Windows client open. I can't set a similar rule in the Mac version. And I use the Mac client most of the time. (a) I don't understand why this can't be a server-side rule, and (b) it's so frustrating that there's…

handoff
I use iOS and macOS outlook, it would be great if the Apple Handoff API was used so I could start a mail on the phone and finish on the mac.

Add "Sent" emails as part of Conversation View
The way it is now is that I cannot see my replies to a conversation. Defeats the whole purpose of conversation view

Folder creation without changing/losing context
When moving/copying the current message selection or browsing the message list, creating a new folder requires either losing your current select, context, and/or search criteria or opening a new Main Window to create and rename a folder in the desired location. Providing the option of a 'New Folder...' command, which would operate in its own folder-list-browsing-capable dialog box and could be invoked from either the menu bar or the Move/Copy dialog, would allow the user to perform the task without losing the current selection, backing out of the Move/Copy command, or having to perform a search again.

[Bug report] Offline updates to calendar invites are lost
As a user of Outlook connected to Exchange, I want to add information to an unsent meeting invite when I am not connected to a network.
Expected result: The calendar invite can be updated before it is sent (in a similar manner to unsent emails), and the recipient sees the latest version.Actual result: Changes made to unsent meeting invites are lost, and there appears to be no way to recover the unsent changes that were made.
Client version: Outlook for Mac 16.12 (180410)Server: Exchange (unknown version)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Disconnect from network (preventing Outlook from sending).

I need the capability of saving a specific OUTLOOK email folder to a specific folder in my DOCUMENTS.
For legal purposes I need to save all emails pertaining to specific real estate transactions their respective FOLDERs in Documents on my MAC. I then download them to a thumb drive and save them for 7 years, as required. About 3 years ago that capability disappeared and I've been stuck ever since.

Don't change the size of text when I mouse over it
There is a very distracting animation when I mouse over certain parts of the ribbon, like the "HOME", "ORGANIZE" and "TOOLS" menus. Animating text is somewhat disruptive and doesn't help the UI experience

stationery
Please add stationery to Outlook for Mac (the same as in Outlook for Windows). It is a useful yet often overlooked feature.

Easier calendar selection with multiple calendar
When creating a new calendar event or adjusting an existing one and you have multiple O365 accounts connected to Outlook there should a clear selection bar when you can select the calendar (like the from field selector when you send an e-mail) so it is obvious which calendar you are selecting.
Right now it is roll the dice!

Restore the ability to export individual folders from Outlook to .OLM or .PST.
Restore the ability to export individual folders from Outlook (Mac) to .OLM or .PST. The "all or nothing" approach from Outlook 2016 onwards is useless if you keep a lot of email in Outlook.
e.g. If I sort my email by project or year, at some point I want to offload those emails b/c they are not needed "live". I used to be able to right-click -> Archive and create an archive of the selected folder. Thus I could reduce the resource load in the Exchange server (and clutter in Outlook) but still have access to the emails if necessary.…

Create a sorting option that will first sort by the status group names, then sort by date within the groups.
With all of the complexities of the ways you can sort mail, this basic functionality is missing. I want the default view to be my newest unread messages at the top of the inbox. Thanks to Diane Poremsky MVP, I understand that it is possible to use the View > Filter By > Unread command to show only unread messages, then flip the arrow to show newest on top. But then you can't see the read messages, and if you take the filter off or do a search, it changes the order of the unread so that the oldest are…
