  2. Create a sorting option that will first sort by the status group names, then sort by date within the groups.

With all of the complexities of the ways you can sort mail, this basic functionality is missing. I want the default view to be my newest unread messages at the top of the inbox. Thanks to Diane Poremsky MVP, I understand that it is possible to use the View > Filter By > Unread command to show only unread messages, then flip the arrow to show newest on top. But then you can't see the read messages, and if you take the filter off or do a search, it changes the order of the unread so that the oldest are…

  3. Regular reoccurring out of office

Add a function where out of office can be turned on for reoccurring days. ie when part time workers are regularly out of the office on the same days each week.

  4. Create new meeting from existing meeting

Create a new meeting based on the attendees and notes of a current meeting. This could be used to setup a follow-up or continued discussion for that initial meeting. Include in the details of the new meeting the original meeting date/time as a reference.

Being able to create a new Contact that displays a custom New Contact default window with all of the entry fields most needed already displayed.
The majority of my New Contacts are for individuals where the Home Address and Email Address fields are needed (NOT work) and at least 5 of the Personal fields are always needed for extra details such as name, breed, *** and age. It is most tedious have to individually add new fields every time.

  6. Provide feature (that Windows has) to turn off Auto-Complete List

Users receive notifications from SharePoint that are from no-reply@sharepoint.... Since Mac users don't have a Preference as Windows does to 'Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names....', that address is automatically added to their cache (e.g. Joe_Smith <no-reply@sharepoint....> When the user then starts to send an email to Joe Smith, both the legitimate address as well as the noreply one are suggested and if they're not careful/don't remove the "bogus" one from their cache, it tries to send to that address.

  8. Allow the user to "pin" an email to the top of their inbox, like on Outlook.com

For my corporate email, I use outlook.office.com, Outlook for Mac, and Outlook for Windows, and Outlook for Android.

I love the web client's ability to "pin" important emails to the top of my inbox. Since this feature is not supported on any other client, I end up using both the web and desktop clients throughout the day. It is very frustrating!

  9. More prominent out of office reminder

On Outlook for windows, when out of office messages are enabled a bar appears across the top of the inbox reminding that they are enabled. On a Mac this doesn't happen. I rarely shut down my computer or quit Outlook, so I often end up forgetting I've left OoO messages on until a colleague reminds me! Appreciate there's a notification when starting Outlook, but this doesn't help me!

  10. Unified Inbox - Outlook

OUTLOOK should have a UNIFIED INBOX (and sent box) for users with multiple accounts (IMAP or POP). This is the default behavior on most mobile email clients and desktop clients so clearly there's not a technical limitation to implement this (see Apple Mail MacOS or iOS for an example). There would simply be ONE INBOX that displays all the mail received, yet the individual account folders would remain so users could dig into each account separately if needed. For any business user this is an essential email feature.

  11. Improve search feature 'quick suggestions' behavior

The 'Quick Suggestion' search feature will offer to search for emails from a certain contact when you start typing a contact name.
    This is great, but:
    1. right now when selecting such a Quick Suggestion this results in a "from: firstname lastname" search
    2. search results in this case will not show all emails coming from this person
    3. manually seaching (not using quick suggestion) for "from: firstname.lastname@emaildomain.com" do show all emails coming from this person

It would be more intuitive that a Quick Suggestion to search for the emails of a certain person will produce search results that…

  12. Include option to disable DELETE ALL trash can in the Outlook Organize tab (Mac)

I’ve been burned again by Outlook (Mac)….
I accidentally selected DELETE ALL twice now over the last month or so, deleting massive numbers of emails before I was able to stop it, particularly the first time. I was able to recover both times, but it is a BIG HASSLE and some mail was likely lost in the process.
This happened to me twice, early in the morning, right after I got up and not completely awake. Both times I was checking and deleting some emails and selected a few to delete. My Outlook page just happened to be open in…

  13. Add a calendar when flagging an e-mail for follow-up. It prompts for a date (e.g. 2/2/2019), but you have to guess if that's a weekday.

Pop up a view of a month, and select a day rather than having to enter a date that may not be a normal business day.

  14. I suggest you add the ability to set up *rules* (not simply out of office responder) for customized auto-replies.

I want to set up auto-reply messages based on the incoming email address, but the rules interface doesn't give an option of "reply to sender."

  16. Macros in Outlook

I would love to have the ability to create macros in Outlook for Mac. For instance, to create a macro that will allow me to schedule a Skype meeting using my own meeting id.

  17. Assign a New Rule Option to Reply

Under my options when creating a new rule, I would like to have the option to create a specific reply to an incoming email that fits the criteria. I have created an email address and subject that requires an immediate reply, a rule that would allow this (similar to an out-of-office reply, but contingent on the rules) would be more than helpful.

  18. Option to read emails initially in plain text

Mac version of OLK misses option to force mails to be read initially as plain text. Active content and dynamically downloaded content expose to security threats. Users and SysAdmins should have option to limit attack surface.

  19. nested Smart Folders (like Mac Mail's Smart Mailboxes)

If you use smart searches a lot, this is a handy way to keep organized and keep similar searches together.

  20. I suggest the possibility to and figures in this Outlook Mac version

I suggest the possibility to add figures in this Outlook Mac version. Can you add same outlook function in Mac version as in Windows?
