  1. Client-side Junk Mail Filtering for Mac

The Junk Mail feature in Outlook does not connect to the server so it does not mark future emails from the same sender as spam. Currently I have to use OWA for my junk mail filtering.

  2. Ability to load email images per sender

I'd like the ability to add senders to a list that will allow images to be automatically loaded in their emails. I don't want to have to add a sender to my address book for this to work. Basically, I'm looking for a feature that Gmail has. :)

  3. Print search folder similar to windows version, Example Print the list of Follow up headers not individual emails.

Allow to print the mail search folder, this functionality is standard in windows version. For example: To print list of follow up mail items and not the entire email, only the list of items.

  4. One-click unread toggle

On the Windows version, a blue bar on the left in the message list shows the (un)read status of the email. With one click there, you can toggle between the states. There should also be a one-click toggle on the Mac version of the email list.

  5. add shortcut to toggle through open email windows

Right now there is only a shortcut to toggle through all open Outlook windows (command + ~), but I often want to toggle just between several open mails, say to copy something from one mail and paste it into another, without going to Outlook-Window and click on the mail I am looking for.

  6. Add option to set maximum attachment size for IMAP/POP accounts

Please add an option to set the maximum size for attachments like in the Windows version of Outlook (Registry value MaximumAttachmentSize). This would be helpful to handle internal large messages and to adopt mail size to corporate constraints.

  7. Make the font (and size) for plain-text emails user-settable

A lot of emails (especially automated emails from internal systems) are sent as "plain text".

Right now these are displayed in tiny Times New Roman, which makes them hard to read, especially data that uses the monospaced nature of "plain text" for formatting, like lining up columns of data.

Outlook for Mac should allow the user to select the font and size to be used when reading (as well as replying to!) plain text emails.

  8. add hover text to show full subject in message list

When hovering over a truncated subject in the message list, I would like to see the full subject displayed in hover text. This should probably be generalized to all the fields in the message list, but the Subject field is the one that's most often an issue for me.

  10. AutoBCC

I am very surprised that Outlook got rid of the AutoBCC option. CRM's (for example, Salesforce) have an AutoBCC feature so that you can log incoming and outgoing emails directly to a salesforce account. Without this, it is difficult to track what you are doing between email and CRMs.

  11. Consistent placement of the Trashcan in Message list view.

Since the delete icon is the only icon that is always used, please move it to the outside of the icon list, I often use the delete to move through messages clearing out junk. It is wasteful to keep having to chase down the trashcan icon.

  12. Make it easier to deselect a message when preview pane is at the bottom of the inbox.

I want to be able to close the preview pane when I'm done reading a message, so that I just see the list of emails (e.g., in my inbox). If my email list is short, I can click on the white space between the end of the list and the beginning of the reading pane, which returns me to my list with no preview, but that's trickier when the list is longer than one screen length.

  14. remove gridlines

This "feature" was introduced without prior notification or consent in an update and it is not possible to configure if you do not want them to appear. Now email is much more difficult to read, and there is no option to remove the distracting gridlines. I cannot understand why the Mac versions of office do not have the same option/features as the Windows versions. In Windows you can turn this grid off quite easily, on the Mac version of Outlook, sorry, you are stuck with annoying gridlines.

  18. Add option to remove new grid lines

The latest update to the Outlook client (15.32) on mac adds horizontal grid lines to the message list (preview pane turned off), but added no discernible option to turn them off. The visual clutter really slows me down and I'm surprised MS would make such a significant, draconian (and completely arbitrary) change to the interface without giving users the option to revert it. Was this even user-tested on customers who had Outlook already configured without the grid lines? Please surface an option to turn them off ASAP.

  20. All moving of mail between accounts

Allow move mail between email accounts.

The current release version permits moving of mail to folders of other accounts. The current Insider Fast release for Google Preview accounts no longer permits this.
