Include option to disable DELETE ALL trash can in the Outlook Organize tab (Mac)
I’ve been burned again by Outlook (Mac)….
I accidentally selected DELETE ALL twice now over the last month or so, deleting massive numbers of emails before I was able to stop it, particularly the first time. I was able to recover both times, but it is a BIG HASSLE and some mail was likely lost in the process.
This happened to me twice, early in the morning, right after I got up and not completely awake. Both times I was checking and deleting some emails and selected a few to delete. My Outlook page just happened to be open in the Organize tab (which I almost never use). Half sleeping, I selected the DELETE ALL trash bin (thinking it was the regular bin), hit return and all my emails started moving to the trash!
PLEASE, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME DISABLE THE “DELETE ALL” TRASH BIN FROM MY OUTLOOK MENU?
I’ve wasted many hours now, recovering from this mistake. It is unbelievable to me that it is possible to so easily make such a disastrous mistake!
I would really prefer to completely remove the DELETE ALL trash can from the menu bar. It’s too disastrous if accidentally selected! I can’t believe that I’m the only person to ever make this mistake.
Thanks for any help on this (and listening to my rant).
