Add Preference to Disable/Enable Left-Right Swiping in Mailbox
Users with a Magic Mouse/TrackPad have likely experienced, as I have, that when selecting messages in a mailbox (Inbox, drafts, Sent, etc.), it is far too easy to swipe left or right and show the options to "Delete" or "Archive" a message. I'm sure this is necessary on a mobile device, but on a desktop device using an input like Magic Mouse, it is really annoying. It could also be potentially dangerous if you accidentally Delete or Archive a message unknowingly.
There should be an preference/option to disable that swiping gesture from the message list.
We now have the ability to customize gestures or even disable them! Available in Outlook 16.11 and above. See here for details – https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Outlook-Blog/Outlook-for-Mac-now-supports-swipe-gesture-customization-in/ba-p/158208

It took me awhile to actually find this thread. Now I realize it is a new feature. I have been w/ Outlook for a long time but this single issue could have me jumping ship at least until it is fixed. It is wrecking havoc w/ my email consumption at the moment.
I completely agree with previous statements.
I find the swipe function very dangerous and disturbing.

I have today discovered a couple of vital e-mails which were deleted due to this facility. It's madness that we can't disable it
An option for disabling the swipe is absolutely necessary. I'm a fan of Outlook for Mac in general but I've accidentally deleted a message twice with this (fortunately I caught myself and had to go locate the message) and am constantly having the delete/archive options show up while I'm trying to scroll through my inbox. It's a bit of a neat feature, but completely unnecessary, and as the OP said potentially dangerous. For my sanity - and to make sure I don't miss something - I may have to ditch Outlook until I can turn this off

Typical microsoft pushing a feature with no preference option. Im guessing this wasnt tested in house with side scrolling mice or trackpads
Or at least let you set the behavior like you can on outlook for mobile
