Fix Sorting when Displaying by Category
I have always organized email by category as a way to display email. Category by subject or particular action. You used to be able to view by category and have the categories listed first at the top with emails inside each category displaying newest first -- Then emails without a Category were listed directly under those in the NONE category which also displaying Newest first. This is where all incoming email would display (in the NONE category) and you could see all email coming in. Now when you are viewing by category and want categories at the top listed first - the emails inside each category are automatically sorted by oldest first - including the NONE category automatically putting all new email at the very bottom. If you change the sort to Newest first then it flips the whole thing and puts all Categories at the bottom and the NONE category at the top - totally defeating the purpose -rendering this option useless altogether.
I can no longer sort by category and see incoming email at the same time - very frustrating..

Agree -- this is one of the most frustrating adjustments I had to make moving to the Mac.
The way the Windows version does it works well (for me at least) where, if I select to sort by Categories (alphabetically A to Z), emails within each category will be sorted newer emails first.
Uncategorized emails will be on top (before categorized emails) with newer emails first, which works for me as new emails will be uncategorized and therefore will be front and center.
Even if I reverse sort Categories (Z to A), newer emails will still be first.
