Please make this a top priority. In the Outlook for Mac non-business use group, MS has this tagged as "Working on it." Please update the status here as well and provide users with an update timeline. I see no reference currently to this feature in the roadmap.

Switched from windows to mac. Feeling annoyed this already due to this missing feature :(

Not just in the Mail View, but bring it back in All views. Outlook use to be far more than an email program, it was a time management program. The ability to see Time commitments (calendar) and activity commitments (Tasks) on the same screen is KEY to managing your time. The TODO bar panel on the Calendar view is Perfect for this. It was hobbled back in 2003 when "Active Tasks for selected days" was removed as a feature, but with filters can be made to focus again.

Please, please....PLEASE!! I am a new Mac user, forced to switch by my employer. I really miss this feature from my PC.

Everyone, lets vote for this idea. That is the only way to get some attention to this feature idea.

Comments are only helping share our sorrow.
We need to vote and give this a flag for management to see.
    LET'S VOTE!!

This is mission critical, especially since there seems to be no way to include Outlook calendar events in the Notifications window. It's a PITA to have to open the calendar 20 times every day to see what's upcoming.

I just switched from PC to Mac and discovered this feature is not available... PLEASE ADD!!

Yes!! The task bar and small monthly calendar on the mail view are absolutely critical for my efficiency. Very important- PLEASE ADD!

You can use the split view in Mac to have mail on one side and Tasks/Calendar on the other.

It is sub-optimal as the task view takes a lot of screen space and reduces the available space for mail

Come on, you had this in the 2011 version. So for 2016, you ditch it for Mac and keep it for PC. That's makes no sense, for such a necessary feature.

I was most disappointed when I worked out this feature isnt available. I love my tasks in outlook but without it and then also without being able to group tasks by category it is almost making me find another application to manage my tasks. So clunky in Outlook Mac compared to PC. Please help and just change the views! Please.

This is absolutely necessary. All versions of Outllook for Windows have this feature. it should not be that difficult to implement.

Until recently, you could have two "Main Windows" open (File > New > Main Window) and make one window be Mail and the other Calendar, but the last couple of versions on the "Slow" development track have broken this. The second window will open, but you lose function and/or display information.

Allow a user to create a custom View that can draw information from multiple Outlook features, such as Mail, Calendar and Tasks, for example, in a single window. I would find it useful on my main window, which is always Mail, to also have a small section of the window that shows me my Meetings/Apppointments for the day so that I don't need to switch views. I believe Outlook for Windows had (or still has?) a similar feature, or at least allowed you to set up a separate sidebar with Calendar/Task items on your Mail window.
