  1. CTK Support

Outlook currently only supports smart card authentication when using legacy frameworks that are not included in macOS. This requires use of third-party software in order to authenticate to a mail server using a client certificate from a smart card. Apple is now including smart card support in macOS with CryptoTokenKit (CTK). Microsoft Outlook should include support for CTK to allow use of smart cards for authentication without the need for third party software.

  2. Bring back the display of to: cc: information

Outlook introduced the "less cluttered" email header display.
Now, if you want to know if you are to: or cc: of an email, you have to click on show details.

IMHO, painful and inefficient... but some people may like it.

Suggestion: make the "compact display" optional/configurable or bring back the display of to: cc: by default.

  3. Allow HTML Signatures

Please add the ability to install HTML email signatures, even if just by making it possible to place .htm files in the Signatures folder.

I can install an HTML email signature in Outlook on Windows, but right now I have to recreate it from scratch to install it on Outlook for Mac, and signatures will not match across my team since it cannot be formatted exactly the same.

  4. Bring back flagged message highlights like iOS app

In the spring of 2016, you guys added flagged message highlighting which was phenomenal! Matched the feature present in the iOS app. And then sometime in August, you guys removed the feature. Please add it back in and make it optional for people to use!

  5. Allow deleting messages from O365 Groups

The Windows client as well as OWA allow O365 group "owners" to right click and Delete messages. This is important to keep the group clean & organized.

The Mac client does NOT allow messages to be deleted. Please add this critical feature.

  6. Import/Export folders and subfolders

I really need to export/import folders and subfolders. This enables me to prune folders by archiving them--and then restoring archived folder if I need them. Have had this capability in outlook in previous version, but not now. This seems to be a regression bug.

  8. Highlight emails based on internal or external addresses. Green for internal and red for external.

When sending emails its important to verify if the email is going to the correct recipient. While it's nice to view the names as FN LN in the TO: fields I have thousands of contacts and when sending sensitive information I end up viewing the properties of each to verify the email is going to the correct john smith and also verifying they are all internal recipients. It would be nice to have all internal recipients be highlighted in green and all external highlighted in red. perhaps other lists/categories can also be created to easily view recipients of different mail…

  9. Automapping Shared Mailboxes

Please support automapping for shared mailboxes in Outlook 2016 for Mac. Having shared accounts automatically add themselves for our users would improve their experience.

Additionally, according to support agents, this feature is required for a shared mailbox to automatically send and receive mail.

  11. Columns and right reading pane

Please add the ability to view mail in columns while still having the reading pane to the right. This functionality works great on the Windows side, but I can't seem to figure out why it's only available with no reading pane, or when the reading pane is below the email...

  12. Managing folders in Google Mail accounts

Unlike when using IMAP to access Google for Work mail accounts, when using the new native Google support, there are no options for creating, removing or renaming folders. I'd like to see full folder management - creating folders at any level, removing folders, renaming folders and moving folders around using drag-and-drop.

  13. Ability to Group Tasks like in the Windows version. Currently all you can do is sort by a field.

Just need to be able to group, expand/collapse the tasks list like you can in the Windows version. As soon as you get past a screen full you can't manage the list properly.

  14. Develop Outlook for Mac for greater SharePoint Online integration

Look at all the UserVoice comments that point to one issue: integrating Outlook for Mac better with SharePoint Online. SharePoint Online lists (e.g., the task app, the contacts app, etc.) cannot sync with Outlook for Mac. They should. There are solid reasons for businesses and governments to use Apple hardware and OS with Office 365 and SharePoint Online, but the functionality to include SPO lists in Outlook is only for Windows and not for the Mac OS Outlook client. Please change!

  15. Ability for Calendar filters, i.e. Categories, to support Grid view, currently only supports List view. Feature removed in 16.20 update

Microsoft removed the feature for you to select which Category to show on a Calendar i.e. Grid View. You used to be able to do this by clicking on the Triangle next to a Calendar in the Sidebar which would display all of your Categories. Then you could pick and choose which Categories to display on your Calendar. Now that this feature is removed, you must use Filters, which would be OK but Filters only support List View. Feature removed in 16.19 or 16.20 update.

  17. Add the ability to copy/paste or export meeting attendees status

When creating large meetings it is difficult to track meeting attendance status. In the Windows version you are able to copy attendee status to the clip board which I can then paste into Excel and build a pivot table to quickly see who has accepted an not responded. When there are more 12 users in the meeting this become very important in a business setting.

    Thank you

  18. Make it seemless for Outlook for Mac to sync with Mac Contacts (including iCloud)

When you add a new contact in Mac Contacts (which is in sync with iCloud) you should be able to send an email from Outlook to that contact without needing to copy and paste it manually (in the 21st century)

  20. Improve performance

Performance seems to be getting worse and worse. Regularly uses 60-100% CPU and often the 'beach ball'
