  1. Allow color coding of folders, make folders=categories

Sifting through folders and organizing emails is very time-consuming now because you can't color code them, add icons, or visually differentiate them on the sidebar. So when you're looking for which folder to put an email into, it's hard to immediately spot it. Also, folders are limiting because if an email fits in 2 categories, you have to duplicate it and put it in both. Categories, on the other hand, seriously rock because you can quickly tell which one they are because you can assign a color, and because you can give one email multiple categories. I would love to…

  2. Increase the password character limit in Outlook for Mac - Business

Seems to be a character limitation in the OLforMac 2016 client. Same passphrase works in Skype and Windows but not in the OL for Mac 2016 client. Shorter passphrase worked, but my new one (36 characters) no longer authenticates me.

  4. Default font formating for emails

Enable the user to set defaults for the font type, paragraph, color, etc for outgoing new, and replied to emails.

  5. Restore AppleScript support for third party apps

Because of the current implementation of sandboxing, third party apps can no longer interact with Outlook (I'm thinking about SpamSieve, but it applies to a number of apps).
There are ways around that and I would love the future versions of Outlook to allow AppleScript from third party apps again.

  6. Allow Office 2016 for Mac to pass your enterprise login credentials from the OS of the Mac to Outlook 2016 for Mac client.

I would like to know more about the inability to pass your enterprise login credentials from the OS of the Mac to the Outlook 2016 for Mac client. Specifically, can this be done? If so, how? If not, why not? This functionality exists for Windows and the related version of Office 2016 for Windows. When using this combination of software my enterprise login credentials are passed thru to Outlook. When I change my password the updated password is automatically passed thru to Outlook for Windows. When I change my password on my Mac the Outlook for Mac client prompts me…

  9. autocomplete email addresses

Outlook seems to autocomplete email addresses only from the address book. Complete from addresses in all mailboxes would make a great feature

  10. add find message by RFC 2822 messageID header to applescript dictionary

Currently, the only way to find a message in outlook is by "open message id". This id is some kind of internal database id, but is NOT consistent across machines. So an AppleScript that takes an email to a TODO list for example with a link to the email, cannot ask Outlook to open a given "message id" (different message opens). It would be so much better if there was an open by the actual message id header value (as per RFC 2822), so that you could open an email consistently between your say laptop and desktop machines.

  11. Really would like a single page view option for Contacts in Outlook for Mac (like the Windows version offers).

Really would like a single page view option for Contacts in Outlook for Mac (like the Windows version offers). This would make it much easier and faster to move between portions of the contact information and add notes (which I use extensively).

  13. Add support for team calendars

One of the biggest things I miss in Outlook 2016 for Mac vs the Windows version is that when I go into calendar view I don't see my team members, nor do I see a way to add them or anyone else in my organization.

In Windows I can add individuals in my organization whose names then appear in the sidebar under the 2 months displayed (where the "categories" currently are in the Mac version). I can just check the boxes next to their names and their schedules show up next to mine. Makes it much easier to find free…

  14. Block ability to Archive Emails to Mac

Provide a mechanism to restrict users from archiving emails locally to their Mac. Many corporations restrict this on PC's with PST files and we need a way to do this as Macs continue to grow in the Enterprise environment.

  18. Make folder search algorithm configurable

The latest update changed the folder search algorithm in the "Move Email to Folder" function from a ending wildcard (abc) to a double wildcard (abc*). Now all searches find multiple matches. Please provide a way to specific which wildcard search you want.

  20. Let me drag the "Junk Mail" folder higher up, near the Inbox

There is no way to re-order the folder items in the sidebar. It would be very helpful to be able to see if anything was in the "Junk Mail" folder without having to scroll past all of the other folders.
