  2. Don't change Date sort order when switching to another column sort

Have been using Outlook for Windows for 20+ years so I'm kind of stuck in my ways. Running Outlook for Mac 2016 v15.30 (170107).

Here's a problem that is slightly time consuming, so I'd like to see if I am doing something wrong,

I keep my mail sorted by date, "Z to A" (newest on top). Once in a while, for example, I want to see all messages from a co-worker, or all messages with the same subject (in the same folder). I click on the "From" or "Subject" header and the sort column is changed. That works well but....…

  5. Categorize Before Save

Currently when creating a new appointment, the Categorize Button is Greyed Out until the appointment is Saved. Instead, Categorize should be an option that can be used before final saving.

  7. Copying calendar items

When I am entering a reoccurring meeting that has no fixed days and intervals you have to enter the calendar items one by one. Copying and then change the date will help enourmously.

  8. Approvals from Mac

The ability to approve messages is not currently supported on Mac. When a message comes through requiring approval, I'm forced to log on to OWA or find a PC to approve the message.

  10. Make autocomplete of addresses favour the people you actually email

I work for a large company with a big directory of people. However, I only ever really need to send emails to a dozen or so different addresses.

For some reason Outlook doesn't autocomplete from my address book, it defaults to the company directory.

For example, when I try to send an email to my colleague Adam, I type Adam and the autocomplete selects some other Adam that I've never heard of rather than the one I email everyday.

Surely it would make sense to select the 'Adam' that I email most?

  11. Meeting ownership transfer

Ability to transfer ownership of a single or recurring meeting to another user. Often times meeting organizers change and it is annoying and disruptive to have to delete/recreate recurring meetings.

  13. Regression in Mac Outlook mail categories

Most recent "slow update" of Mac Outlook disables ability to select multiple mail items and apply category. Why?

  14. Add+Edit Meeting Organizers

It's cumbersome for meeting organizers and attendees every time a meeting organizer needs to change for a recurring meeting--because currently this isn't supported, and you have to cancel the whole meeting and reschedule it. If you could add multiple organizers to the calendar item, it would be so much easier.

  15. Allow color coding of folders, make folders=categories

Sifting through folders and organizing emails is very time-consuming now because you can't color code them, add icons, or visually differentiate them on the sidebar. So when you're looking for which folder to put an email into, it's hard to immediately spot it. Also, folders are limiting because if an email fits in 2 categories, you have to duplicate it and put it in both. Categories, on the other hand, seriously rock because you can quickly tell which one they are because you can assign a color, and because you can give one email multiple categories. I would love to…

  16. Increase the password character limit in Outlook for Mac - Business

Seems to be a character limitation in the OLforMac 2016 client. Same passphrase works in Skype and Windows but not in the OL for Mac 2016 client. Shorter passphrase worked, but my new one (36 characters) no longer authenticates me.

  17. Please fix the message editor in Japanese environment.

    Using with macOS 10.12.2.
    Style formatting terribly collapses.

  19. Restore AppleScript support for third party apps

Because of the current implementation of sandboxing, third party apps can no longer interact with Outlook (I'm thinking about SpamSieve, but it applies to a number of apps).
There are ways around that and I would love the future versions of Outlook to allow AppleScript from third party apps again.

  20. Allow Office 2016 for Mac to pass your enterprise login credentials from the OS of the Mac to Outlook 2016 for Mac client.

I would like to know more about the inability to pass your enterprise login credentials from the OS of the Mac to the Outlook 2016 for Mac client. Specifically, can this be done? If so, how? If not, why not? This functionality exists for Windows and the related version of Office 2016 for Windows. When using this combination of software my enterprise login credentials are passed thru to Outlook. When I change my password the updated password is automatically passed thru to Outlook for Windows. When I change my password on my Mac the Outlook for Mac client prompts me…
