  1. Prevent duplication notifications when using both To Do and Outlook

I use Microsoft Outlook (version 16.31) for Mac and Microsoft To Do. When I set a reminder in To Do, I get a desktop notification from both apps. This is annoying. I'd like a way to prevent these duplicate notifications.

This happens because I use my work account for both Outlook and To Do. This thread mentioned it's expected behavior right now https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/disable-outlook-tasks-notification/89be8699-9fbe-4323-a8d1-8c47d547746a?auth=1 but I'd like that to change. Currently I would have to completely disable meeting notifications on my desktop, and that would be very difficult since I rely on both meeting and task notifications.

    Since I use To…

  2. Hide all meetings on public or private holidays

On private or public holidays I am not in the office anyway, so it would be great if you could set it so that no appointments or notifications are displayed in the first place.

  3. Import hyperlink from Filemaker Pro

In my Filemaker Pro database, there is a function called send mail. This function takes data from my database and creates an email in Outlook. It works great. The one thing I have not been able to automate with this script step is creating a hyperlink in Outlook. I have to copy and paste the url into the Hyperlink option on the format menu in outlook. I then shorten the hyperlink displayed in the email to a more recognizable text string so that the link is more intuitive for the end user. I would save a lot of keystrokes if…

  4. Consistent naming across platforms and products

You've just changed the name of Trash in Outlook Mac to Rubbish but it's called Deleted Items via the portal. In some apps you call Teams, Groups and so it goes on.

  5. Block Drag & Drop of Emails from Outlook to Mac

For PC's, GPOs are available to restrict certain settings to block drag and drop of emails from Outlook to the desktop or network shares. No such setting exists for Mac users. While Microsoft has blocked the ability to export PSTs, this still leaves open a security hole where users can simply drag emails outside of their mailbox. Requesting the ability to block this.

  6. Sensitivity Labels in New Outlook for Mac

The new Outlook for Mac has Sensitivity label greyed out whereas the current Outlook for Mac has them available. When can we have Sensitivity labels working in the new Outlook for Mac?

  7. Recurring series at non-regular intervals

Allow us to create events that are linked the same way that a recurring series is, but do not re-occur at regular intervals. For example, I'd like to be able to create three linked events where the first two occur on the third Friday of the month, but the last one occurs on the second Friday of the month.

  8. Dual alarm

    Two alarms,
For early morning meetings, it would be great to set an alarm for the afternoon/evening before, and then have a second alarm go off in the morning. This would also help for full day settings (example - birthday reminder a week before, then one the morning of).
    Thanks

  9. Include the folder names in the reading pane

With mails showed as conversation or when I have the result of a search, I would like to see in which folder each message is stored directly in the reading pane.
I know that it is possible to see the folder name in the window title when the message is opened in a window, but this is not so practical.
Also, the functionality is available opening Outlook on the web, so why not to include it in Outlook for Mac? Thanks

  10. Option drag to create duplicate item

I believe I used to be able to hold option down, drag an event and it would create a duplicate. When I do it now in the "New" Outlook, it changes the mouse icon to include the "+" symbol, but it only moves the event - it doesn't duplicate it. In email, it tries to move the email, rather than duplicating it. I want a duplicate of the event/email, not the selected object moved.

  11. Accounts: advanced options

In the "Old" Outlook preferences -> Accounts, there's an "Advanced..." option to be able to go in and make some changes to the account. This is no longer available in the "New" Outlook. It should still be available.

  12. Remember which calendars are selected when we leave that pane

In Outlook 365 for Mac, I have multiple calendars in my account, only one which I use regularly. Whenever I click on the "Calendar" icon, every calendar in my account is selected. I have to manually deselect the lesser used calendars every time.

When I uncheck a calendar, I want that calendar to stay unchecked until it is selected again. I do not want the calendar deleted, or removed from the list, I just want it to stay unchecked.

  14. Fix direct entry of appointments in calendars

It used to be possible to drag a time range in a calendar, and then type in the title of the appointment right there. Now, after dragging the time range, it just says 'New Appointment', and I have to double-click to open the entry and add a title.

  15. search top

Move search bar within Outlook back to its old location. The new location of the search bar is inconvenient and not intuitive, the search field should be closer to the emails themselves instead of excommunicated to the blue bar at the top of the netherworld. Not sure why anyone thought that would be a good idea or that anyone would have asked for that. Please move it back within the body of Outlook so it is closer to the email content that needs to be searched.

  16. Allow sort options to be set per folder instead of for all folders

I would like to be able to keep the Group by Category option set on my Inbox, but for Sent items, I would like it to always sort by Date Sent. I think this feature may have been lost in a recent update.

  17. Add "New Items" menu to Dock icon

By right clicking on the dock icon, it would be great to access the "New item" menu. I don't need to see the main Outlook window if I need to create a new email, note, appointment.

Compounded by very poor seach in teh search bar ..... it is very unreliable seach .... and does not seem to support 'Adv' search options as on PC

  19. Calendar - does not auto-populate

On Outlook for PC .... when a Calendar invite arrives - it automatically puts a 'greyed out' copy into a calendar view. This feature is missing on a MAC .... which means it is easy to miss an invite when you have a busy inbox. It is a great feature of Outlook ..... should be there for a MAC

  20. Outlook 365 for Mac

As it stands, any Mac user with Catalina operating systems are unable to mark incoming emails (in shared email accounts) as spam or as well as Blocking senders. It works fine on a Windows operating system however not at all on a Mac. Junk options are greyed out.
