  1. Outlook's new design doesn't show Organizational section in company contacts

The contact within the company had organizational structure within contacts that allows you to look at an individual's direct reports as well well as who they report into based on the Active Directory. The new Outlook design released in Oct 2020 doesn't allow to look up organization. This is still available on the older look in Outlook or Microsoft Teams.

  4. Have the option to Show Titles before senders on mac outlook

There should be an option to show Titles before name of sender, or at least to give them more prominence.

Most of the time knowing the sender adds very little information, the title is usually much more informative. It's very hard to go through a lot of emails this way.

Even the web version has this feature. Every mail client I remember since the 90s has this feature. From the message I got from support even the mac version had it at some point.

  5. I think the invitee list should be sorted by alphabetical order so you can look for names easier

Looking through a large meeting invite it is difficult to get a sense who is invited and who isn't invited. Putting the list in some order would be helpful.

  6. Make it harder to "Remove from Favorites"

It is way too easy to "un-Star" a favorite.
please make me confirm that I meant to un-star a favorite.

  7. Add contact to the Recent Addresses list only after user actually replied to it (or wrote first).

In Outlook for Windows user needs to reply to an email (or write first) for an address to be added to the Recent Addresses list. On Macs user doesn't need to do anything and the addresses are added automatically. This gives a possibility for malicious users to inject one or multiple similar email addresses of known contacts by just sending email to victim. More than that, Outlook orders the list based on the recipient which sent the most emails, so if malicious user sends more emails than the original sender, he would overrule and become the first suggestion of the…

  8. Show invitation sent time in calendar invitation

If you are viewing your calendar it shows all items in the view, including those that are received in your inbox, but not responded to. And they all appear as tentative in the view. But if you open them from the calendar you have no way to know when they were sent. That is the invitation sent time is not part of the view.

But that means if I have multiple overlapping invitations and I want to fair and accept the first one I cannot work out which it is except by manually going through my Inbox to find it.

  9. Allow rules to be exported and then used on a different Mac

Currently I create rules on the computer that I'm working on but these do not sync between multiple machines. Being able to either add to iCloud and sync with all accounts or even just export the rules to manually add would help

  10. How about a way to automatically save an e-mail to a file when it arrives in a given folder

I want to be able to pass the contents of mail messages in a certain folder to a script. I control the script so I can handle them how ever you want to pass them. File handle, stdin, command line option, etc.

Even the option to store that folder in MBOX format so that I could just tail -f the tile would work.

  11. Inline mini translator for Office 365 for Mac.

Inline mini translator for Office 365 for Mac. Similar to what you have for the windows version.
The ability to select text in the mail and a hover box appears with the translated text.
I am English speaking living in Germany so this is vital to my productivity.

  12. Rule Action to Play Custom Notification Sound

I occasionally receive emails related to production support tasks which must be acted on immediately. I'd like to be able to create a rule to play a custom sound when I receive one of these emails.

Since I can use rules to mark them high priority, another option is just having a different sound for high priority emails.

It would also be nice to have an option to always play this kind of sound over my system speakers. That way if I'm not wearing my headphones or I step away, I can still be alerted.

  13. Make the new Outlook available to Exchange OnPremise users

Make the new Outlook available to users of Exchange OnPremise again. Or at least: let us know whether it will ever come back or not. I used to work with it just fine (fast insider), and then suddenly the support stopped, with no explanation whatsoever.

  14. Keep previous sort preferences for column headers

I prefer to have date sort with the oldest on top. Let's say I have my email sorted in that manner. If I click on Subject, it re-sorts by subject. That's fine. However, If I then click on the "Date Received" header, it automatically re-sorts with newest on top, and I have to click the column header again to sort with oldest on top. It would be nice to have the last order used for a column when one clicks the header to sort by that column. The email client I use for personal use (Postbox) does this, and it…

  15. When creating a folder, do not automatically go to that folder after creation

When I create a new folder/sub-folder, it immediately takes me to that folder immediately after creation. I usually am creating a folder to move messages into that folder. If I am immediately taken to that folder, I have to go back to the original folder, select the messages, then drag/drop them. It's pretty useless to go to an empty folder.

  16. Add room to someone else's meeting

I would like to be able to add a room onto a meeting that was created by someone else. It would be useful when a client invite us at a meeting and we have to regroup in a meeting room.

  17. When creating a custom follow up flag the calendar and time should be easier to choose

The calendar should appear so you can quickly choose a date, rather than scrolling up and down on days and months. Same for the time... Suggest 09:00, 09:30, 10:00. 10:30 etc.

  20. Display message classification

Exchange has a feature called Message classification which displays a classification on an email in Outlook. This function works properly on Outlook on Windows, but does not function on Outlook on Mac.
