  2. Be able to create personal notes within an email

It would be nice to be able to create notes within an email for personal use/reminder.

The idea is to have an Icon next to the other Trash, Archive and Flag Icons.
When you click on Notes Icon it pops up and you can make notes or see your notes about that email.

  3. Automatic assignment of Meeting Rooms

When I schedule a meeting (series of meeting ) it is difficult to get same meeting room for entire duration (entire series). To add to complexity, when there are participants from multiple location and we need to book a room for each location across the globe it gets more challenging. I want outlook to come up with smart meeting room allocation algorithm to pick up a meeting room from each location whichever are available for the time slot of a meeting. Algorithm could assign different rooms at different location for each occurrence of the meeting but at the time of…

  4. Provide "emails received that day" from a day being viewed on Calendar

As a user, I often wish to see emails received on a past day or week of my calendar. I would like a contextual command to construct an email search criteria from the selected Calendar view.

    "Emails received that day|week"

  5. allow opening multiple Outlook instances (e.g. one screen with Calendar, second with mailbox)

Back on Windows I always had two Outlook Windows open - one with mailbox, the second with calendar. Was really practical to be able to scroll through the calendar when writing an email and looking for possible slots to suggest a meeting/phone call/ etc. On Mac this does not seem possible.

  6. Display detail of a meeting attendee when you click same as in mail

If I click an addressee in Outlook mail it show a pop-up with details of that person. Please add the same to attendee list in the schedule window for a meeting so I can see a persons detail without having to manually look them up in contacts.

  7. Display the correct symbol for signed and encrypted mails

Currently all e-mails which are signed, encrypted or signed+encrypted have the lock symbol in the 'attachement' column. Furthermore when writing a new e-mail and select the option to sign the message a notification bar shows up between the subject and the text showing a lock symbol.
This might be missleading for the user and she might think that the content of a signed e-mail gets encrypted.

  8. Handle vacations and out-of-office time in the calendar

How does Outlook calendar STILL not handle vacations and WFH in the calendar? Every workplace I’ve been in has muddled through using appointments to notify their team of vacation time, while the “out of office“ designation is carried to all recipients. This includes jobs at Microsoft.

How did the default 6am reminder make it out of QA? Who would ever want that?

  9. Please display in the People window the date of the last sent and received email for an individual as in the old Entourage Suite.

I really miss the old Entourage feature where the date of the last email sent or received from an individual was displayed with all of their other details in the People window. Going through the Search process in the Mail window each time is time-wasting and doesn't always give the results wanted.

  10. Keep email highlighted in the email overview after following a link in the email

When I select an e-mail in my inbox, it opens in the preview pane. As soon as I follow a link in that e-mail, the e-mail isn't highlighted anymore.

I expect the email currently in the preview pane to stay highlighted.

    Specs:
    Microsoft Outlook for Mac
    version 16.28
    Office 365 subscription
    Dark mode :-)

  11. Calendar, refusing a meeting invitation do not delate the meeting from calendar

It could be useful for time management to keep in the calendar a trace of a meeting on witch we've been invited even if we refuse participation

  12. Ability to print attached images with the mail

In the print options it would be very useful to add an option to choose to print attached images with it's email.
    Thanks

  13. Enable automatic synchronization of event answers between web-interface and outlook for mac (desktop app)

When I send a calender event invitation to an attendee (in or out my organization) the outlook for mac desktop app does not sync the attendee's answer automatically with the web-interface. In the web-interface I can see that the person has accepted my invitation. But in the Outlook for Mac App I only see "the attendee has not answered yet". Even hours later this information is still not synced. I must click on "sync now" to update the calender. Then it works. It would be much more helpful if the outlook app syncs automatically.

  16. Reduce the "You replied to this message on MM/DD/YY, HH:MM AM to a single line

Currently, every time an email is replied to, a new "You replied to this message..." bar is added to the top of the email. I would request that since the ability to see the conversation history is easily accessible, this be limited to the most recent email.

  17. Make it possible to decide how much data (mails) that is stored and downloaded to your MAC HD. Just as on PC - 3 months, 1 year, all etc...

On my PC I have the possibility to configure my outlook exchange account to set how much mail that is stored locally on my PC. When on MAC - all my mail from 12 years back seems to be downloaded to my MAC HD - totally unnecessary!!

I would like the same feature as on PC and be able to set 1 month, 3 months, 1 year, all. etc...

That would be incredibly valuable for many of us!!

    Thank you!

  18. Allow users to turn off email polling (or make mail not appear at all) on particular accounts

I need some Google calendars, which have personal appointments, to appear in Outlook, so I don't double-book. But I don't need/want gmail from that account to appear in Outlook, too. I can turn off calendars; I should be able to turn off email, too.

  19. Be able to turn off Notifications on an account-by-account basis.

I don't need to be pinged for every email in every account. Why not allow per-account notification settings -- including maybe different sounds for each account, or none at all?

  20. Make Page Setup available from the print menu

In order to print in landscape you need to first go into the page setup menu and change the orientation. If we can make the page setup menu accessible from the print menu, it will make easier for user to navigate.
