  1. Phishing on Outlook MAC

I suggest you add a report phishing button to Outlook for MAC. It provides a more seamless user experience between OS’.

  2. Allow the user to "pin" an email to the top of their inbox, like on Outlook.com

For my corporate email, I use outlook.office.com, Outlook for Mac, and Outlook for Windows, and Outlook for Android.

I love the web client's ability to "pin" important emails to the top of my inbox. Since this feature is not supported on any other client, I end up using both the web and desktop clients throughout the day. It is very frustrating!

  3. .eml x-Unsent: 1 to open in compose / draft mode

Include support for .eml files to open in draft / compose mode by recognizing the X-Unsent: 1 value so that it will be recognized as unsent

  4. Add action "show desktop alert" for filtering rules

It should be possible to setup showing desktop notifications as a response to messages filtered using rules (e.g. moved to folder other than inbox). On of good ways how to do that would be to add action "show desktop alert" as one of the possible actions that will be done in response to matching the rule.

  7. Add option to remove new grid lines

The latest update to the Outlook client (15.32) on mac adds horizontal grid lines to the message list (preview pane turned off), but added no discernible option to turn them off. The visual clutter really slows me down and I'm surprised MS would make such a significant, draconian (and completely arbitrary) change to the interface without giving users the option to revert it. Was this even user-tested on customers who had Outlook already configured without the grid lines? Please surface an option to turn them off ASAP.

  9. handoff

I use iOS and macOS outlook, it would be great if the Apple Handoff API was used so I could start a mail on the phone and finish on the mac.

  11. Alert and verify when I'm Bcc'd

When I'm Bcc'd on an email it would be helpful if the email background were a transparent red, just something simple to alert me I'm Bcc'd on this note. If I try to reply or reply all it would be nice to have a warning/confirmation that I really do want to reply.

  12. Set category for mails thru drap & drop

In Outlook for Windows you are able to set a category of an email thru drag and drop a mail to a other mail with the desired category. I would love to have this feature in Outlook for Mac as well.

  13. Show number of results next to Smart folders

I am using Smart folder as task list - marking emails with flag and then having Smart folder "To Do". What I lack is seeing all the time how many emails are flagged, i.e. how many emails I should respond to, straight away. Windows Outlook does that and I am used to it so it would be great to have the same in Mac Outlook. thanks

  14. Use macOS keybindings. For example, ^A should move the cursor to the beginning of the line.

I'm using Outlook in the context of the macOS environment. It disrupts my flow to adapt to the MS-Windows context in the middle of writing an email message. When in macOS-land, use macOS keybindings.

When I'm writing email message and want to go to the beginning of the line, I naturally type ctrl+A. In Outlook for macOS that selects the whole region. Why? There's a perfectly good option in the edit menu assigned to Select All, command+A. I shouldn't have to use the HOME key for this, especially given the mac keyboard doesn't even have a HOME key. Similarly for…

  16. Remove the ⌘<Return> shortcut for sending an email

It's simple: when typing is quite easy to accidentally hit ⌘<Return> which now acts as a shortcut for sending an email. This is highly annoying as you end up unintentionally sending an email before you finished it.

  17. remove unwanted contacts in frequently used contact names in "contacts and recent address's in email address field.

drop down email address list shows unwanted contacts from address book ABOVE those that are most recently used or in the "directory". These do not have an X to remove them they are persistent.

  18. Make drag and drop work from Apple Photos into Outlook emails.

I'd like to see the behavior fit Apple's Human-Interface guidelines, which are found at https://developer.apple.com/ios/human-interface-guidelines/interaction/drag-and-drop/ Specifically the part that says "Make drag and drop available for all selectable and editable content. Selectable content should be draggable, and editable content should accept dropped content. Also make sure your app supports copy and paste in these areas."

it used to work so nicely with iPhoto. Thanks!

  19. right-click menu bar to customize it

It would be nice to be able to right-click the menu bar in order to customize it. (This is how this is done in Outlook for PC) This would be nice to have in Outlook for OSX. Thank you.

  20. (Mac) Allow a default to not save sent items, and checkbox to save

One of my favorite features on the PC version of Outlook 2016 is the ability to set it to not save a copy of sent email by default. 99% of the email messages I send each day are not something I care about ever seeing again; answering questions of an inconsequential nature, yes/no's, etc. For that reason, on the PC version, I set it to not save a copy, and for the few messages per day that do matter, I simply click the button to save to Sent Items. It greatly reduces the clutter of pointless messages in my Sent…
