  1. Bug fix: message preview does not update after you move a message to a folder.

When you move a message to a folder, the preview does not update. This is a bug.

  2. Add missing attachment reminder

It's called "Warn me when I send a message that may be missing an attachment" and enabled for literally all Outlook versions. See https://support.office.com/en-US/article/Mail-settings-30C69A79-EFC6-42D2-B740-4BF1C1F8A01C

  3. Please make Outlook search ALL contact groups by default

Please make Outlook for Mac search ALL contact groups by default. The default has flip-flopped between doing this, and only searching a default Exchange directory, throughout development. We have a read-only Exchange contacts list, so many of our contacts are also in our local address books, so it would be MUCH more convenient to have all contact sources searched at once when we need to.

  4. multiple language

working with multiple language in outlook for mac is a real nightmare. We are a global company dealing daily with email in at least 2 languages and often 3. For every single mail we write, since there is no smart language identification, we do need to write email, select the contact and go to language to switch the languages - which is ridiculous. Word detects the language in few words, and even writing an email on smartphone today has this feature.

  5. Optimize ordering/view for new messages

I usually read messages in the Reading Pane. In the folder listing (Inbox), if I have it sorted newest first, new messages will get scrolled into view (at least a few of them) at the top of the list. If I read the oldest of the new (unread) messages and delete it, the selector jumps to the most recent unread message. So to read new messages in order from oldest to newest, I have to keep clicking in the listing to select the oldest. If I instead sort the listing oldest first, and position at the very bottom, then new…

  6. Bring back flagged message highlights like iOS app

In the spring of 2016, you guys added flagged message highlighting which was phenomenal! Matched the feature present in the iOS app. And then sometime in August, you guys removed the feature. Please add it back in and make it optional for people to use!

  7. Active Connection Status

Sometimes connection fails because you pop a browser window under a bunch of other windows. Don't do that, obviously. But if you just can't figure out how to fix that, then make the connection status tell the user why Outlook is not connected.

  8. Search shortcut for senders

I frequently want to find all emails from the same person who sent me the current email I'm reading. I should be able to right-click on an email address/contact and select "Search for Emails From/To" that person.

  10. Public folders keep unsubscribing for different users which seems to happen randomly

Is it possible to make this similar to the way the Windows version behaves that you open Public folders and which ones you have rights to you can access instead of subscribing as the process to add this seems to be failing. If it mirrored Windows then the issue wouldn't matter as people would open the folders first to point to the one they need.

  12. Show Sender's Address In Preview Pane

In the inbox, show the sender's email address if the sender is not in Contacts. So much mail is unsolicited from sales people. With Entourage, you can see the sender's address. This allows the recipient to see the part after the @ such as abcxyz.com, then check out that company before opening unsolicited mail. Otherwise, the recipient must open unsolicited mail to find out what it's about. At that point, a pixel is sent back to the sender, telling them they have a live, possibly interested fish on the line, which results in a continuous flow of mail from that…
