  1. Calendar and task-list in main-screen of outlook

At the moment calendar and task-list just can be used in separate screens. It would be very useful to implement both features (calendar & task-list) in the main screen of outlook, where mail view and folder structure is located. Windows-version of outlook already delivers this function by a so called "popup"-function, so please make it possible for mac-users, too. thanks.

  2. Fix Dark Mode to include the message preview

Just like the topic says. Make dark mode include the message preview pane. The main interface is nice but the dark mode being there then contrasting with a bright white message preview really hurts the eyes.

  3. Add Outlook to Share Menu (Extensions), for Mac

Have Outlook added to the 'share' menu (under Extensions) in System Preferences. It's time-consuming, and annoying to constantly have to drag files to Outlook — as opposed to being able to sending them via Outlook under the 'share' option. This is a must for businesses, that email a lot of attachments. Thanks.

  4. Import/Export folders and subfolders

I really need to export/import folders and subfolders. This enables me to prune folders by archiving them--and then restoring archived folder if I need them. Have had this capability in outlook in previous version, but not now. This seems to be a regression bug.

  5. Make the Mac version the SAME as the PC version with same tools & options

Please make all functionalities available in the PC version also available for Macs. Eg. Conditional Formatting, Send and File, allowing us to change our mail view to also incorporate things like the calendar so everything is in the same view! I know these are PC-enabled functionalities but Mac users need the same tools as everyone else! We do business the same way as everyone else within the organization and there seems to be a MASSIVE disparity between the PC suite vs the Mac suite of capabilities in the 2016 Outlook.

I also find it highly inconvenient that the program doesn't…

  6. search

Please reinstate the quick refinements for "from:", "to:" and "contains:" to be added to keywords entered into the search box in Outlook for Mac 2016.

The new predictive algorithm and search suggestions don't work for me at all – sometimes I need to find emails "from X", sometimes I need the ones sent "to X" and sometimes I want emails that "contain X" where X is a person's name, a company, or a product.

The previous refinements made it fast to find emails and switch the filtering. The new way involves multiple clicks, or setting up saved searches – it's so much…

  9. Ability for Calendar filters, i.e. Categories, to support Grid view, currently only supports List view. Feature removed in 16.20 update

Microsoft removed the feature for you to select which Category to show on a Calendar i.e. Grid View. You used to be able to do this by clicking on the Triangle next to a Calendar in the Sidebar which would display all of your Categories. Then you could pick and choose which Categories to display on your Calendar. Now that this feature is removed, you must use Filters, which would be OK but Filters only support List View. Feature removed in 16.19 or 16.20 update.

  11. Include removed attachments filenames in search indexes

I remove large file attachments if they're big files, but I'd still like Outlook search to show me the emails those files were attached to. Helpfully Outlook does show you that a file was removed and gives the filename, so the data is still there. Presumably adding this to what the search indexes should therefore be possible?

  12. Please add Quick Look and Spotlight support to Outlook.

Messages in Outlook show up in Spotlight searches as Outlook files without content previews. Viewing Outlook messages in Spotlight should be as easy as previewing other file types (including Word and PowerPoint docs).

  13. Develop an "add note" feature for invitees to Outlook calendar appointments/meetings.

Let's say I've been invited to a meeting. I want to be able to keep track of questions I have, ideas to bring up, agenda items to propose, etc. just so I won't forget them. Items should be visible only to me.

  14. Add feature to highlight complete Emails beside category flags

When receiving emails which I'm storing for later use (review, follow-up, important info) I would prefer them to stand out of the regular. So, when I'm looking for that specific email, I can spot her more easily without opening numerous others emails who have a similar search text element.

  15. Enable/Support Split View

Latest Outlook UI can't compress enough to accommodate both 'Teams' and 'Outlook' on a 15" MacBook Pro screen. Outlook with Split View works great on larger displays.

  16. I suggest a search field popping up when filing emails. It is very useful in the iPhone App. Current workflow cumbersome.

The current work flow for filing emails in the Outlook for Mac App, especially if the target folder is not on the short list. Too many clicks to select the target folder.
In addition, if the folder should be firstly created, this is also nt supported (but on the version Office365 on the web).
A search field for typing and then quickly selecting would be nice.

  17. Category

Category - When selecting a "Category" from the drop down menu in the task bar, it used to display the last used (5) at the top of the drop down menu. This made selecting commonly used category's faster. Currently we may have a Category starting with the letter "R" which means we have to scroll all the way down to the near the bottom of the list. My suggestion is to be able to type in the first letter of our Category once we have clicked on the drop down menu, this would then take us to the alphabet area…

  18. banded read pane

Hello there, I'd like to use outlook, but I find a plain white reading pane background difficult to use. Today I use thunderbird and it bands alternative emails - which (for me) makes distinguishing between emails much easier. I this possible ?
    Thanks

  19. Reply from the Reading Pane

I'd love to be able to compose a reply from the reading pane. When I currently hit "Reply," it opens a new window.

I used this feature often when I had a Windows PC, and really miss it now that I'm using Outlook on a Mac.

  20. cc bcc

Is there a solution how to make the cc-fields visible as a standard ? (We have the problem both on Mac and PC).
It is really annoying that you cannot see the cc-field until you click the "more information" button. Hope you can help.
