  3. Recurring Automatic Replies

For service type mailboxes, we need to add an automatic replies every evening to advise that the department is closed until the next morning. We can disable this automatically but we cannot enable these automatically. It would be good if we could set a recurring automatic replies to turn on every day at a certain time.

  4. Expand Outlook to support showing DLP policy tips for more conditions

Issue /Problem Description: As per the article https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/use-notifications-and-policy-tips?view=o365-worldwide#policy-tips-in-outlook-on-the-web-and-outlook-2013-and-later

Currently, Outlook 2013 and later supports showing policy tips only for these conditions:

    Content contains
    Content is shared

Need to expand Outlook to support showing policy tips for more conditions, like Attachment’s file extension is, Sender address contains words, etc

  6. Email Count

Increase the maximum number of email recipients from 500 to at least 1000. We are communicating via e-mail with more folks than every due to covid19

  7. Drag and Drop emails as a PDF rather than MSG format

Have the ability to drag an email as a PDF format in personal folders than having to do the printing feature to convert it to a PDF,.

  8. Insert -> Attach File: Add Search Field Above Recent Items

When attaching a file to an email, the list of Recent Items does a great job of listing files you've been working on, which in many cases is the one you want to send. Great feature. But, as time goes on, you may need to attach a file that isn't on the recent items list because you haven't worked on it in a while. Please add a Search Box above Recent Items that acts exactly like Search in the Start Menu. This would make attaching files much more efficient. Normally, I either have to navigate to the file, or I…

  11. Save mail to standard .eml format instead of version specific .msg

Mail format .msg is very poorly supported outside of Outlook for Windows. Even Outlook for Mac can't open it. You should stick to the industry standard .eml which is already supported by Outlook, just not used by default on the save action.

  12. inbox after search

When I search for a specific email in the Outlook client inbox, I find the email and review it, and then click on the inbox again, but then I have to scroll forever to get back to the top (or drag the scroll bar up) to see the most recent emails. Please make it automatic that when you click on Inbox again after a search it goes to the top? Thanks.

  13. There's possibly now too much empty space in the email window

It'd be great to reduce the new size of the "from", "to" and "CC/BCC" columns in both the Popped Out New Email window and the inset 'reply' window. There's a lot of "dead-air" above the line where one writes the email

  14. Insert availability

Usually, I have to coordinate availability of internal associates with consultants who do not have access to our O365 tenant.

It would be nice if there was a way to insert availability via the Insert tab for a specific day which lets me key the users whos calendar we are working with.

This way, the recipient can simply create an appointment or meeting and send back quickly.

  15. Please provide the unread email count badges on taskbar. It is so useful to know what drops in our mailbox while working on different window

Please provide the unread email count badges on taskbar. It is so useful to know what drops in our mailbox while working on different task in different window. It will save 30 second to 1 minute. You can imagine how powerful feature would be and there is no doubt that a lot of resource hours ( No of current users * 60 Seconds = x number of hours ) can be saved adding this feature.

Would be great to remove/reverse email from people it was sent to by accident, as soon as you realized that mistake.

  19. Allow mark as unread while still reading, show correct read/unread state

If I get a new mail, look at it quickly, and them move off of it, then it is marked as "read." I know this will happen, and since I have not really "read" the email, I want to leave it marked as unread. There's no way to do this. Instead, I have to move the cursor off the email and then go back to it to mark it as unread.

Marking as unread while you're reading is a feature found in other email clients eg. gmail.

Also, when you're reading the email for the first time, its title in…

  20. Detect and warn user if e-mail may be going to the wrong recipient.

Scan message for recipient's name ("Dear Name," or "Name,") and compare vs. the e-mail address(es) that are set to be sent to. It would be nice if Outlook could somehow warn you if it thinks you are about to send a message to the wrong person.
