Schedule meetings in under 30 min increments (like 5, 10, 15...)
Scheduling meetings outside of 30-minute increments is a pain. I would like the option to schedule meetings in 5-minute increments. Example. A drop down list of 5, 10, 15. 20, 25, 35... Then the meeting scheduling process would be to first add people, then pick the needed time and then move to figuring out when this time would fit in the group's schedule. Manually entering the time is not a smooth process and the defaults fight against manual entry.
The primary driver for this is to save time as life does not land in 30 minute increments.. Now that we are going to be working from home more for a while, we are missing out on short hallway conversations. Scheduling 5 or 10 min drop-in meetings can help to replace these meetings. Waiting for folks to turn green is a pain the rear. As more of us need to be teachers as well, we need the ability to focus and execute, and to enable this, I need to know when I can meet with people so I can get my job done versus hanging out hoping someone turns green on Teams for a 5 min conversation.
Oh, and on Macs…This feature is already there. Search “Duration” when setting up a meeting request.
