Readd Folder Name after Search Box Location Changed
After the search update (when the search went to the line above the ribbon) the folder name for the folder / mailbox that is selected is gone. Please readd this option as now there is no way to quickly know in what folder/mailbox I'm at the moment... and when you're using multiple mailboxes this option is/was a life saver

What everyone else says: the new bar is far away, adds clicks, and the folder name is gone. Very poor design.

Please Microsoft, make the Search bar placement optional (as is now or above mail as it was) so users decide what works best for THEM.
I like to have the current folder name displayed in the title bar at all times.
If you do not want to give us the option then let us add the current folder name display to the right of the search bar.
Thank you -

I'd prefer is to have the search box BELOW the ribbon. If I can move the Quick Access tool bar below the ribbon (in Word, and I assume Excel and PP), then the search box ought to be able to move too. As it stands now, if I want to use Search I have to "drive" my mouse another 1 - 1 1/2" to get to the search box. While it's not a huge amount, it's a waste of time.

New Positioning, font size of search on top bar is not user friendly.
Recommendation : Position the search icon with larger size on left or right side. Make it configurable with reading pane. -

Moving the search box in Outlook to the title bar was a very poor decision, as it was much easier to access and use in its original location. PLEASE undo this change.

Thumbs very definitely down on the new location for the search box. It is getting more irritating with every use. It's a longer stretch to quickly mouse to it, it's not near the email subject lines, doing anything other than a simple key word or contact search brings the drop down box which covers 2 inches of my screen, I have to move my line of sight up to the top of my screen above the ribbon (which I don't minimize) ... The previous search was close to what I was searching so I could scan very easily and the drop down option with the different search categories was inline with the box. while not perfect, was usable. This version just adds extra work to my day.

Restore the Folder name back in the Title bar of Outlook 365. It is a major reference when scrolling through emails.
I rarely use the search option but when I do the old one was much quicker and easier to use. Also having the huge search box on the title bar uses up spaces for quick action items. At the very least allow the search box to be condensed to the magnifying glass on Outlook 365 Title bar so the folder name could also be displayed on title bar (the same as Word 365, Excel and PowerPoint allow the search to be condensed to magnifying glass so document name, spreadsheet name can be displayed in title bar). -

Search by date is very weak. Lost folder name in title bar . . . ah but you knew that.

Please add folder name back in the title bar. With multiple emails, it is hard to know where you are if the left navigation moves and you can't see the gray highlight.

please restore this feature, I keep several outlook folder/mailboxes open at once and this feature is essential to helping ensure I am in the right folder/mailbox
I would also like the search box put back in the mail column as it is more reflective of how it is used, and much more accessible.
Plus, as a person who adds a lot of commands to my quick action bare, that search bar on the title bar uses a lot of real estate space those quick action commands

I'm OK with the search box in the title bar BUT we need to keep the current folder in the title bar as well. As most have said, this is a reference point when managing items in Outlook.

Hello I would like to know how to put my search bar in the mail column where it was before. The new location is very uncomfortable

Please, please, pretty please with sugar on top, allow us to add the search bar where it used to be. Moving it to the title bar makes no sense. It's out of the way and clunky!

Hey everyone ..not sure if this has been added, but there is a SEARCH option in Outlook ..it right up the very top of the screen ..a big box with magnifying glass.

Same here, I used to be able to quickly change the scope I was searching, to just be the folder and not the entire mailbox for example.
I do this frequently so all your change has done has increased the number of mouse clicks I have to do every single time I search. Before I could do it directly next to where I typed my search term. Now I have to achieve this simple thing, whereas before I only had to click twice.
Besides which the new location looks awful and is another step to increasing the cluttered look of the aging Outlook Interface.
Thanks for quote literally ruining the Outlook search experience for me with this change.
Keep it in the title bar if you have to (even though it looks awful there) but please add back the ability to change the search scope with a one click drop-down box next to where I am typing my search term.
AWFUL CHANGE and I AM FINDING IT HARD TO LOCATE ANYONE THAT DOESN'T AGREE.

Please put back display of the selected folder name somewhere in the main window. If you scroll the folder out of the nav pane you don't know where you are. OK it's displayed on the task bar, but if a lot of mail items are open and they group together, that disappears too.

This is a ridiculous and unnecessary downgrade. Give me back the old title bar. do whatever you want with the search bar

With many email accounts set up in Outlook, the removal of the current folder display in the title bar is extremely inconvenient. At the very least it should be an option. Also, the search box is now inconveniently placed and way too complex.

please return the search bar back to the original position - new location is very inconvenient. I honestly don't know how that is considered an improvement.
