Adjust the width of the folders section of email
My inbox just changed today along with the location of the search box. I want to be able to make the width of the folders section smaller but I can not do that anymore.

All the print in my office outlook screen went larger after last weeks update. No way to make print smaller.

Everything I have read is useless, still cant adjust folders section width. I want it wider to see deeper level folders. VERY VERY VERY FRUSTRATING

This is so annoying. How can it take months to fix this issue (which still hasn't been fixed)?
COME ON, MS - this is ridiculous!

Agree. It's adjustable but I need it larger as it is cutting off my folder names.

With the COVID19 pandemic, I have been working from home since mid March, and the inability to adjust these panes is affecting my productivity, as I am now working on a laptop with a 14 inch display. This is also a problem in Teams. Please fix this as soon as possible. Every inch is very important on my display, and not being able to adjust these panes wastes space I need. Thank you for considering these changes, and I hope to see them made soon.

Agreed. Hate the search box at top and I want ability to shrink OR expand the folders view to fit my needs

Extremely frustrated about this. So much white space on the folder pane and i hate to leave it like that. The change came out of nowhere and now taking forever to revert the change.

In the same update that caused the inflexibility in the Folder Pane, I can no longer adjust to single line view in the Deleted Items, Junk Email, and Sent Items folders. And I hate the Search box at the top. Truly one of the worst updates I've seen in years.

Completely Agree. Absolutely no reason to prevent us from sizing it down smaller to fit OUR workflow. Same thing with the ToDo pane on the right, there is no reason at all for either to be so wide. MS, please stop being like apple, we do NOT want the "do it our way, or don't do it all" mentality. Choice and flexibility used to be the cornerstone of Windows/Office, not anymore.

The infinite wisdom of the MS Outlook team is demonstrated here once again. This fixed width scheme serves no purpose but to annoy users.

Horrible update. Why would you limit the ability for the folder menu to be where Users want it to be. The minimum column width is TOO wide and limits us from being able to see what we want to see. This change is surely only a negative one.

Completely agree. Very frustrating to have the dynamically sized folder pane suddenly go static. (It's almost as bad as the un-resizeability of the rules window.)
I understand that when you wake up one day, and if "the [things] that used to work don't work now" happens, it's called getting old. But I didn't think that happened to software...

100% agreed, and I'd like to share some specifics. My monitor resolution width is 2560. I have my Windows taskbar pinned to the right side at its minimum width (88px). This leaves 2472px for the desktop. I use Outlook on the left half of the screen, filling 1236 pixels. In Outlook, I have the To Do pane open on the right at its minimum width (~250px). The new folder pane minimum width now appears to be about the same (~253px). This leaves 733px for the main window. My big problem is that in order to see the email list in detail rather than summary view the main window must be at least ~760px. I've temporarily had to move my taskbar to the bottom of my screen because the message detail view is too important, but it would be nice to return it to my preferred location.

Something recently changed with O365 Outlook, and the folder pane is much wider than it used to be, and I can no longer resize it to a narrower size. Please return our ability to do so.

Same here. Lots of real estate wasted by the disabling of the ability to shrink the folders window.

I agree. There's a lot of unfilled white space in the folder pane now. I'd like to regain the ability to make the pane more narrow.
