You need a more improved search engine for searching contacts. Allow it to search all fields not just the name. Let it sort by column so at least you can scan down the column to look for a contact. This feature has been horrible for a long time.
recently after u manage to change a feature in your search system
i struggle to find anything any info regarding my clients
it became impossible work like that
plz either turn it back to what we use to search with
or just manage to do any other solution
it cannot keep this way
Using this feature only works in the web browser and it sucks that I have to go back and forth.
For example, I want to email JohnDoe@gmail.com but I only remember his last name, Doe. That doesn't help me because I need to know the first words in order to find it.
When I type: Doe, I get "no results". Then I have to login online to outlook.com, create an email and type Doe and JohnDoe@gmail.com will pop up.
Why cant Outlook desktop have the same function?
Yes, address book search is so disappointing wih no real improvements for years. For example, I'd like to find contacts by a substring in email address ("contoso" in firstname.lastname@example.org), and there's just no way I can accomplish that. Even more, To, Cc, and Bcc fields should also support substring searches for any address book entry and nickname cache property.
I hate to admit it but Windows Live Mail 2012 is much better in this regard.
