Convert or create tasks to appointment easily.
Microsoft should make it easy to convert/create a task to an appointment to make it easy to schedule a time period on a calendar for task implementation.
It will be nice to look through your tasks and then schedule your day based on those tasks and have them nicely shown on your calendar.
As far as I can see, the only way of allocating a specific time (i.e. more granular than a whole day) to a task is to set a reminder, but the reminder doesn't allocate time in the calendar, so it's likely it will clash with another commitment and therefore the reminder is of limited value. Being able to assign a specific time of day to a given task would be most helpful in the spirit of encouraging a focused approach to completing work.
I would like to add a task for myself if I have things to do to prepare for a appointment so I can create a deadline prior to the time of the appointment.

I love that I can convert email messages to appointments and want to be able to do the same with tasks without having to create independent appointments.

There should be the possibility to create a task from calendar meetings as it is possible from mails (shortcut: insert)
It does already depending on how you have your view set up. Highlight the area on your calendar you want to allocate to the task then take the task and drag it to the calendar. Use a right click so its copied not moved.
