Change ownership of calendar event in Outlook 2016
Sometimes the owner of a meeting (or, more often, meeting series) is on vacation or changes jobs; it would be nice if they could assign ownership of an instance (for vacation) or the full series (for job changes) to someone else. Also provide an option to create a meeting on someone's behalf without being included in the meeting.
Would be a helpful feature.
Change meeting organicer
There is a major need for such a function. I must say that I was negatively surprised this doesn't work already, since it is a basic operation for meetings irl.
Just got a request through for this - was surprised it does not exist.

Nothing to add.
Fully supporting the request as there IS a demand for it!

And here we go again. I'm about to go on vacation and I can't hand over my recurring meetings to my representative. It's extremely annoying. I don't understand that such a popular feature request doesn't get a high priority from Microsoft and that there are apparently no plans for implementation/development yet.

I have just tried to change a meeting series that I own and realised that I can't. I really thought this feature would be available.
Come on MS. Step-up and please provide the features that people want.
When people leave our company we need to be able to change the meeting organizer to the new person in the role.

There should be an option to change the meeting orginizer.
Additionally it would be nice to have the option on the meetings menu to copy the event, and once you choose the option, it will open another pop-up window so you can change the settings if necessary
Hi There, it would be nice if people could change the meeting organizer status without creating a new event by the new named organizer.
example: i'll be on holiday next week, but want to organize a mtg for my teammates, the mtg will be led by my colleague, who is on holiday this week (I cannot ask him to organize a mtg).
Allow originator of meeting to transfer meeting (series) ownership to someone else. E.g. I create a recurrent meeting but want to give away to a delegate so they now show as the originator without having to create their own new meeting.

Add a feature to Outlook enable transfer of meeting organiser to another user.
This is necessary/imperative especially when an original meeting creator/organiser leaves a team/or is unavailable & the meeting is still relevant. Changes may be required to be made to the meeting details. Without this feature/option, such changes is impossible; leading to the meeting deleted and a new one created. This option will eliminate these.

Desperately needed function. Thank you!

Amazes me tthat this is still not a "thing".

Please do so asap! I've been checking all updates for years now and wonder why this (small?) change is not implemented yet?

Allow a meeting to have the organizer change to someone else if the original organizer is leaving the organization or is for some reason unable to be the organizer going forward. Think of when an employee in management leaves and certain meetings need to continue, it would be nice to simply change the organizer and update the meeting for the attendees without cancelling the meetings and setting them up again.
would be nice if there was a way to take ownership of a meeting if the user left the company
I vote for transference of ownership and/ or delegating an alternate host.
