do not allow meetings to be fowarded option
If you only intend for certain people to be invited to a meeting, have a box to check for the meeting organizer that stipulates "Do not allow meeting to be forwarded."
Thank you for your feedback!
Meeting organizers can now prevent attendees from forwarding their meetings. This has been released for Office 365 customers as of Version 1808: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/monthly-channel-2018#version-1808-september-5
I’m marking this suggestion as completed. Please keep voting and adding comments to improvements you’d like to see in Outlook; we use user feedback from this forum to help us prioritize our week!

I think this feature has been added to the Monthly update and will be available in March for Targeted First Release and July for Targeted.
To add - the meeting can be forwarded only after the originator has marked something like "Permission required for forwards"
It can be just as addon to the feature, where the originator gets notified if somebody forwards the meeting invite.
Once the originator allows it, it should behave as if the originator has updated the invite and selected the option as "Send update to the added invites only". That way all the subsequent changes to the meeting invite are communicated to these forwarded audience as well. Currently, all the subsequent updates are missed by such people who have received the forwarded meeting invite.

Please add this option. We’d like to have the do not forward feature available for meeting invites added as a feature enhancement.
I completely agree with the Anonymous comment dated 12/8/2017. Our highest executives cannot believe they don't have an option when sending an invitation to disallow forwarding to others (an option they have for emails). As the previous poster said, these may be confidential meetings and/or attachments, even simple things like getting a conference room reserved for x number of people and then many more show up, catering - you name it. But primarily the ability to protect confidential meetings from being forwarded to people who shouldn't be added on as invitees.
ADD: if someone tries to forward the meeting, there should be an outlook standard message, something to the effect of "this meeting is marked as 'do not forward'. If you need to invite additional participants or designate someone to attend in your place, you must contact the meeting organizer"
This is necessary, especially for GDPR. We don't want people to forward invites (adding others to the meeting) and that expose email addresses to potentially not compliant companies.
This would be a great option! Not to mention one that should have been a feature that was built in years ago. I schedule for multiple high-level executives and 90% of the meetings that I coordinate should only include the people that I invite. On numerous occasions I have had to uninvited people who have had meetings forwarded to them because participants take it upon themselves to extend an invitation. Simply writing in the notes section "DO NOT FORWARD" is currently my only option for communicating this message. With that, I have to trust that participants will heed that message. Further, a high number of meetings that I coordinate are confidential, thus hammering home the need to have an option of a feature that will remove the option of forwarding meetings. Please incorporate this function!
