Allow deletion of emails from search results
It would be mighty useful to be able to delete emails from search results. I was able to do this is older versions. Also there is currently no way to select all emails from a search result on the portal. If you have hundreds of emails to delete it cannot be done via the portal. Please add a select all function to the email search results. Thanks

I agree critical failure. Select all from a search is vital and not an option. Whomever deleted should be fired.

I need to be able to select all search results in a particular folder and mark them for deletion. This isn't high technology. I'm tired of this asinine restriction of having to manually select items from the search results.

Previous versions of Outlook would allow you to run a search and then move those emails to a new folder. these same emails would be removed from their respective folder to the new folder, not a copy like 2016 does now.

Old email addresses still appear as suggested emails in the drop down search field. These addresses can be really annoying especially when you have had no emails from them in for a long time and no longer have any emails from the particular email address. Currently there is no option to remove these.

THIS IS A CRITICAL FAILURE TO OPERATE AS DESIGNED. I can give more details (at least based on some testing I have done with Office365 support, which told me to post critical bugs on this website). The problem only exists in cached mode, so the "workaround" it to turn off cached mode (but that isn't the best practice for use of Outlook with extensive mailboxes).
The problem is as follows: When you are in a folder (inbox), if you delete the email, it is not only deleted, but it stops being visible. But if you are in a "search" in a folder, and you delete an item, it DOES actually delete the item, BUT it remains visible as thought it hasn't been deleted. To confirm that it was actually deleted (even though it is sill visible) you go click on the item and it says "unable to display". However, the fact that it remains visible, as though it had not been deleted, is both misleading and it makes it very difficult to manage your cleanup since you can't tell what is still remaining, and what isn't. THE BEHAVIOR IS DIFFERENT if you turn off "cached" mode. And the behavior is not intended or impossible, because if you are just in the folder without the search, even in cached mode, it operates the same as not cached. The behavior exists ONLY when: a) cached; b) searching within a folder. So this is a critical flaw, failure to operate as intended, and should be posted on the "known issues" list.

It was so easy to search for related emails and then manage these as required, ie delete a number of hem.
This facility is NO longer available, require urgent correction of this.
Please inform as to when this facility will re-appear. -

After doing a search on my emails, I tried to delete the unwanted mail, but found that it cannot be deleted . We can do it before easily and is very useful in managing emails. Also, in the search from inbox, it has shown all the emails. I only want the email from inbox, and don't need to show me the other mail that I have either sent, or deleted. Really need to do a better job at helping us manage the mass of emails effectively.

I just want to delete emails as I go through the list of incoming emails
